Been reading too many of the 'why do you hate Big O' threads around here.  You realize that most of the anti Big-O folks out there can't even spell a complete sentece without messing up so that it hurts your eyes to read them?

Big O...It's one of those shows you love or you hate.  I don't think there's anyone really, who can seriously say that 'it's okay'.  It is a tough show to 'get' and that is why I love it.  It says what it needs to say but it does it in a subtle fashion, much like Bebop (which I also watch LOL).  I watch InuYasha because it is easy to follow (God knows they've employed the twins Hash and Rehash as writers, I think) and because the story is good.  I watch Big O because it is intellectual, because it makes me think.  Do I watch the series every day?  Good Lord, no.  But I do watch them, normally at least once a week.  It's a great show for promoting 'deep' thoughts ... LOL . . . But . . . It took awhile before I actually got the whole Tomato thing . .. lol

yeah.... I know it.  I've watched it many, many times and there are still things that either I don't fully 'get' or that soft of suddenly click for me.  But I like that.  There's something to be said for having to actually come to a conclusion based on what they give you instead of what they tell you.

Here are the reasons that people don't like Big O:

1. It confused them one time and so they hate it.  Same thing goes for Wolf's Rain.  They saw it one time and it confused them.  It's the second worst anime...of all-time!  Right behind Big O!  Ever!...in the history of anime...!

2. It has a giant robot in it.

3. Inuyasha rocks!

4. They've never seen it, but...well, it's not Inuyasha!

5. The storline is so gray! (minus the 'r')

6. The opening theme segment is bad...as far as the rest of the show goes...uh, I don't know, I didn't really watch more than a few seconds of it...uh, I like colors...they're pretty.

Of course, there's a few others, but they get repetitive.  When it comes to Big O, just like any other show on AS, most people either exaggerate one way or the other and make themselves look like fools.  Mr. T pities you all.

I dunno.  It just irritates me when anyone just comes in and says well, this is stupid then never sticks around to back their beliefs.  Have your own opinions, certainly.  Just have the ...errr.... guts to back 'em. lol
