Cowboy Bebop And Robots

Did anyone read the article that AS pulled from Entertainment Weekly? Its in the Announcements folder. I just wanted to quote it:

" (The network's night shift caters to robot geeks as well as comedy geeks, with anime like "Cowboy Bebop.") "

This is why I hate the media. Okay, since when does Cowboy Bebop have robots? Now we're geeks because we like anime? Does anyone else find this as funny as I do? This writer obviously did not know what he was talking about.

Everyone in the media talks about the Comedy but nothing about the Anime...... its just awful......

Yeah. That whole article was nothing but comedy. The only time they mentioned anime was in the quote I pulled out. Not only did they mess up with the show, but they also threw in a stereotype. x__x

The writer probably watched one episode of Bebop and one of Big O and got confused because David Lucas and Wendee Lee are in both of them. Or else they thought Jet was a robot...

I, Robot is a good movie, the part where he says "Sorry I'm allergic to BS" that's comedy,
I would say the majority of America love comedy and robots.

I don't recall seeing any robots in Cowboy Bebop.

I would rather be refered to as a nerd than a geek.

Did you see 60 minutes? They were talking about franchise

merchandise ripoffs of Cowboy Bebop on the internet.

I'm a newb btw =p
Why save the fun for later when we can party right now! Do you see now? You can't relax until after its all over.

I find it hilarious that they said "robot geeks" because that would mean the geeks watch the show for the sheer, unadulterated purpose of robots. Of which, there are none. They wouldn't watch the show for any other reason except that. Not the dialogue,, not the story, nothing but the robots. To them, the robots are the driving force behind the whole ordeal. And there aren't any robots in Bebop. Now THAT my friends, is comedy.

Yea, I saw the same 60 minutes show, the tubby ball of geek was the kid they showed to represent Bebop, ticked me off, Bebop was misrepresented, that show made Bebop look like a geeky cartoon for tubby kids, when the reality is Bebop is extremely mature in storyline and plot and music, honestly how many kids listen to Jazz?, there already is a pretty big american Bebop fanbase, they shouldn't have paid that kid to post on message boards. It would've been more effective to post posters on posts.
The first time I heard about bebop was from a fan, and he wasn't a paid undercover promoter.
