A few things I'd like to comment on:
1. Talho's new look: *sigh* I heard that this would happen awhile ago, but I had no idea that it would happen so soon. I know that it is simply wrong and sexist to feel bad about her losing the slutty hawt look she's had for 29 episodes, but I'll definitely miss it. Now, I think of Nico Robin when I see her, but I guess we'll all learn to cope with "the original Talho."
2. The movie: I swear to God that made me think of every single crappy old school documentary in existence. Would have been funnier with some anti-Communist propaganda. 
I found it interesting that Adrock wasn't pictured in the movie. Ever since the previous episode, I've noticed how they keep on making Adrock's role in this smaller and smaller. The only questions I have for him are how he started the Summer of Love and how he disappeared...
3. Diane: I laughed so hard when Talho revealed that Diane rejected Holland. It wasn't out of spite or anything, but I felt that it was amusing that their relationship ended because SHE broke up with him.
4. Maurice: Looks like the boy's on the look for new parental figures. I wonder what caused his recent aversion to his Momma?
5. PARTY! *starts dancing to "old" music*
My thoughts on Talho's change of looks are I like the new outfit but that hair cut is way too sever. It doesn't fit her face shape and those bangs are too short (though if she has hair like me she may have just cut them shoter than needed because her hair grows out fast).
Next episode we get introduced to the overweight scientist seen in the "next episode" trailer (he could also be seen in the movie Renton and Eureka were watching). I've been waiting for this episode to air because there's was a really great "joke" about the guys name in the original version (I almost litterally spit my pop out when I heard his name). If it doesn't get changed I'll try and explain what it is but if it does get changed I'm not sure I'll mention it (though I might). I just have to hang on one more week to find out what they did with this

So Renton is sticking around the Gekko, even though he still doesn't consider himself a regular member of Gekko State, because he wants to continue to protect Eureka and learn as much as he can about her and the Nirvash. (And was it me, or did it feel like he was thinking of the Nirvash when he discounted the idea of running away with Eureka? I guess the three of them need to stick together. Awwwww.) I wonder if he ever imagined he'd be getting an informational video on her out of this little expedition.
I wish I could have a cheesy 50's-style informational video randomly provided whenever I got to wondering about profound stuff like where the person I love came from. And geez, they could have at least let Eureka keep a copy for her own tape collection instead of being all like "oh yeah, there's like this movie we have..." And score! Diane and Holland were an item! And she totally dumped his butt! Well, I didn't really call that last part, but it would help explain why Holland's still so stuck on her and why Talho can't stand the thought of her. So Holland doesn't forget about people he cared about. That's kind of nice. And it was awfully nice for Renton to encourage Talho the way he did. He's grown up an awful lot. And it is important for everyone to realize that Renton is himself and not anyone else - his father, or his grandfather, or now his sister. And I wonder just what Diane being "no longer here" means. It wouldn't surprise me if her "dumping" him was about more than just irreconcilable differences. Hmmm...
And so Talho has apparently been dressing so provocatively to get to Holland, as Mischa pointed out. I suppose that could be a logical move when you're competing against The World for your man's attention.
And she wants Holland to be the man she always knew him to be, since I guess he's changed since then, or something. There was something in that speech about making him not run away from the truth. Maybe Holland's regrets are keeping him from being the man Talho fell in love with, and she doesn't want him to feel like he has to run away from that. So I guess she decided that she was better off going back to the way she used to be, although Holland didn't seem too happy to see that. (And the fanboy debate is in full swing, I expect... )And Eureka. So she was found in a scub along with the Nirvash, and brought to the Tressoir facility to be cared for and studied. She seems to have a good relationship with the people there. So it's good to know that they treated her well. They seem to be a generally swell bunch of people. Who apparently like to take dance breaks in the middle of the day. And like old music. I half expected "Get It By Your Hands" to come blaring out of those speakers, and I would have been like "OMG NO WAI RUN AWAY, GEKKO STATE PPLZ!!!" But anyway, I noticed that Eureka wasn't wearing her necklace in her little scubby flashback. So hmmm. I bet that was something the military slapped on her. Come to think of it, I should check to see if and/or how much she's wearing it in that video. Since it was mostly her piloting the Nirvash at the research facility, but there was one shot of her in her SOF uniform. And it's obvious why she's been the designated pilot of the Nirvash, since she was practically break-dancing with it while the other guys could barely stand up straight.
So Coralian power go! And OMG the cute hat Eureka shot! Although I guess the cute hat is no more, as Eureka follows Talho's lead and stops trying to cover up who she "really" is now, choppy hair and all.Ooh, and the military contracts these guys to make weapons for them, which they do without really concerning themselves with how they're going to be used. Interesting ethics issues there. So the Ageha project, which must be this anti-scub squadron Dewey is heading up, needs super-beefed-up missiles to attack the deepest scubs, and is going to try to stink the place up with pollution to like kill the earth. This sounds like a totally sensible plan. I think Captain Planet needs to have a talk with the Colonel.
Let's see... the Nirvash is spontaneously changing shape as it evolves, and it's the only two-seater LFO they've ever found. So I guess it's always wanted someone to join Eureka, if indeed it was meant to be Eureka's counterpart from the beginning. And LFOs have been both found and created. And Eureka has no memories of her creation, and apparently only vague memories of her early days at the facility. And Nirvash without its armor is naked.
It seemed to be lighting up in its green parts when it was happy, like a Compac drive supposedly does. And Hilda is still good at forging official documents. (Five bucks says she had something to do with stealing the Gekko.) And there's some dude who's going to be showing up soon who is probably the one who's Holland's least favorite whatever. So that ought to be some nice dramatic conflict when he makes his appearance. And Axel was the guy who like engineered the Nirvash's armor and ref board. So he obviously goes back a long way with all of this, which we kind of suspected given the way he always seemed to know more than he wanted to let on. I can see where he would have some awfully heavy regrets about the way things turned out, especially after losing his son in the Summer of Love. And Maurice is kind of avoiding Eureka, and is getting photography tips from Stoner. And Renton totally missed his opportunity to feel up Eureka in the movie theater. Ah well.I... think this may be the longest one of these I've written so far...
