Haha. Actually it is the same as DBZ i the fact that it never frikin ends and they just keep pumping crap out of their @$$s to keep the show going. But, other than that...it's not too much like DBz..Inuyasha is a pretty good show despite it's too long and it's one of those: Evil guy...Send 1 enemy at a time from the evil base and watch them loose untill they gain enough power to kill the main head honcho. I hate that storyline, it's so over used.

You know what i mean. So stupid. I'd like Inuyasha more if it wasnt for that. Ohhh and the never ending jewel thing that has 70000 pieces which is a stupid excuse to make 85000 episodes. That...is why i dont like it ( well, too much. It's mediocre to me.) I know im gonna get flamed for this, but oh well.

Sorry for bringing this up again and not letting it die, but.

DBZ and Inuyasha the same? To quote Inuyasha "Feh"

DBZ equals endless fights against more powerful foes

Inuyasha equals fights against a single cunning, but not to powerful foe who eventually does become stronger then the group and fights of almost equal opponents that acctually comes to a battle of skill and not just who can make a bigger blast.

Though I like both, I like them for different reasons. DBZ I like because it was non stop action, something I was very easy to get into back when I was younger, it convinced me to look into martial arts and unlike most people who are DBZ fans, it wasn't because I wanted to shoot Ki blasts, it was for the sake of the art, though on a side note. Ki is real it can't be taken to the extreams that you see in that anime, most you can use it for in a ki blast is a small ball about as big as your eye, it is very hot and gives off only a little bit of light.

Inuyasha though, I like it for its action, in that it is very 'real' in a sense, it employs physics into it, like Inuyasha's swing of the Tessaiga, you can see how much power he puts behind it and compare it to how much damage it does. I also love the romance, the Inuyasha and Kagome moments can be heartwarming to see and there is also Sango and Miroku's parts though they arn't shown as much as Kagome and Inuyasha's are.

There is also the conficts that happen in the story, it isn't just oh, there is a new bad guy lets go fight him, its a major conflict and you also have the characters conflicts.

Everyone wants to kill Naraku, that is the major conflict of the story right? Well, then you also have Inuyasha's conflict with himself over weither to use the jewel once they get it back, to use it to become a youkai or to become human, like he was going to do for Kikyou, or even to stay just as he is for Kagome becuase she says that she loves him just as he is. There is also his conflict with Kagome and Kikyou, which as the series goes on you really see him start to sway over to Kagome.

You also have Kagome's conflict with Inuyasha and Kikyou's relationship and how she reacts to it and later comes to terms with it. Sango's conflict with having to might kill her brother. Miroku's conflict with his Kazaana, which really does affect him in a lot of ways as you get to see later in the series. Even Naraku's henchmen have a personality and conflicts of there own. Kagura is trying to be free of Naraku, but how to kill him without having him just crush her heart.

It really is a deep anime when you get to the heart of things and not just look at the broad scope of things and Zero, if you are still here, if you would be mature and look past the petty things that you seem to hate about the anime, then you would see this too. This also goes out to all the others that seem to hate this anime.

Oh and I also hate the fans of DBZ and Inuyasha that don't take the time to think 2 seconds before they spout off nonsense about how great the animes are, without even listing what is great about them.

Ok, I am done now.
Things I will never forgive the english version of Inuyasha for. Kagome saying 'sit' instead of Osuwari, how many times will she have to avoid that word in Inuyasha's presence.

Well, Naraku is basicly stalling for time, once he gets powerful enough, he will do his own dirty work. But right now he is just being sneaky and you know, it works. It is the same way in real life and this is to get you thinking about this sort of thing. Naraku is a manipulative **bleep** and it is all part of his plan, the more people hate him, the more blood shed occurs and the more tainted the jewel will become in his grasp.

Oh and the shards of the jewel are all mostly collected anyway, the jewel even lost focus when Naraku was introduced and they found out that he killed Kikyou. Naraku had over half of the jewel and when Kikyou gives him the shards that Kagome has, there are about only 20 or so shards left, the majority of the series is just the tracking of Naraku, since the **bleep** keeps escaping, but it is almost over now. A suggestion for you, go and read the manga, it doesn't have useless filler episodes.

You are ignorant, they are completely different shows.  From reading your post it sounds like you haven't watched much of Inuyasha, there are almost no similarities in the two shows, try watching it before making judgements.

Their totally different shows dude!!! DBZ is a show for little panzys...Kids like 5 years old watch that show. Inuyasha kicks (Bleep) and is way better than DBZ. It also has a highly more complex story line than DBZ!!!

I noticed this too, another example, instead of Dragon Ballz being tossed around the world there are sacred jewl fragments, sure there are a lot of them, but it's the exact same concept, collecting a special bunch of objects for more power. DBZ: always battling over Dragon Balls, InuYasha: always battling over Jewl Fragments.

I guess it can be argued that many shows battle over special objects,
even the original Transformers: always battling over energy cubes.

Heh... but as for the actual storyline they are different, I just happened to notice
a similarity between the two independently while watching the last episode last night,
before I ever saw this thread today.

Both are good shows I would say though.

I would like to point out many of the characters from dbz are now playing in inuyasha btw the way you post makes me significantly think less about your side of the arguement and more importantly your intelligence

dbz is crap and far worse then inu-yasha becase dbz  has bad animation, no plot, and constantly contradicts itself, and inu-yasha has way better music

Well, sort of, except the main storyline for an episode of DBZ is more like this:

Talking, 4 mins
"Fighting" (continuously dodging punches without getting hurt), 30 secs
Quick semi-funny scene to break the ice, 30 secs
More talking, 9 mins this time
more "Fighting", 30 secs
non-important character dies (brought back to life in next episode or so), 30 secs
High Speed Fighting (fighting that is so fast, you don't see the characters, just sparks flying everywhere), 5 mins
Goku begins to charge up for a "super attack" while the "badg guy" does nothing, 5 mins

And this script continues through many episodes (can be considered five minutes in DBZ) until Goku finally unleashes his attack and wins, end.
I said "Don't worry baby; somebody up there likes me."
