The Evangelion Nerd Club: Version XI

[ Edited ]

Somehow this little club of ours has made it to its 11th incarnation. This Nerd Club of ours was founding back in November of 2004 (or 05 I forgot) by none other than our good leader Iowa, nearly 6 (or 7) years later here we still are going strong (sorta). So kick back, take a seat, and let the discussion continue.

I may come back later and edit this to make it look sexier, but for now this'll do

FIRST!!!
As night falls upon the city, a fear grips its citizens. With the death of their hero comes the return of an old nightmare. He moves in the shadows and controls the minds of those around him leaving chaos in his wake. The inevitable return of pestilence is upon you. His return signals the begining of the end for you. Do not stand in his way, he has no sense of mercy and will destroy those who get in his way. No one is safe.

There's a Funimation sale at Right Stuf now, so Eva 2.22 can be had for $21 on Blu Ray.  They usually ship stuff a week or two early as well.

2.22 isn't out on DVD/Blu-Ray yet, is it?

I think this is the largest fanclub on the forums

Hey quick question about that. On the information, it lists it as a hybrid. What does that mean exactly?

Oh, so dubs and subs are on the same disc along with english and japanese audio? Ok makes sense. I thought maybe there was a DVD format included in there. This svcks, I really need to get a blu-ray player, but I'm broke as hell. Does Xbox 360 play blu-rays?

PS3's are the only gaming system with bluray. 360's use HD DVD which they don't make anymore. And Wii's are just regular DVD.

Ah crap. Anyone know where to get a blu-ray player on the cheap?

Actually, we prefer if you join while watching it...you can ask us questions that way, when you get to parts that you don't "get" ...we've all been there, the only difference here is you get the chance to as us!

@Hardcore:  This club may not be the largest but it's most definatly the longest running!  (we've lost a lot of daily posters over the last ten versions...but we're still going strong!)

Hey guys, important news. I had told you all about a small con that is held at Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, IL called Karoshi-Con. I'm one of the founding members of it, and a lifelong member of the anime club that runs it. Anyway, we have just confirmed Saturday April 2nd as the day of the con. You are all welcome to come, admission is free.

More importantly however, I am going to use Karoshi-Con as a practice for the REVA panel. Whether or not we get the panel at ACen, I want to at least gain some experience and try this panel out at a smaller venue. That being said, Myself and my friend Lesser, who is also on the REVA panel, will definitely be there. The only X-factor is Iowa. I would love it if he came, but I'll understand if he can't. Either way, I hope this will be a big success.
