Whoever knocked out the Soul Reapers taking Haineko and Tobiume to squad 4 sure as hell isn't Muramasa. Took me two seconds to notice that.

The first time I watched this, I had no idea that Ninamori's parents were getting divorced, nor that her father was sleeping with the secretary. Interesting what a couple years does to your attention to detail.
I also find it ineresting how Haruko didn't notice Naota until he called her "evil alien".
I kind of like how Haruko said "Very strange."
My main beef with this episode: Naota's ugly/"really bizarre" hat. It's just a fisherman's hat! It doesn't look THAT bad.
For anyone unaware, the 正s on the board in that half-second cut are Japan's form of tally marks. And Naota won the part of Puss in Boots 23 to 14. Not bad, considering there was another contender.
Did the translators even consider that nobody in America's ever heard of Doraemon? At least in 2003?

I love that scene where Naota's drinking from the drink pouch. I always think back to when they were making that product placement, and after they failed to get permission to promote it, they decided "screw it, we're throwing it in anyways!"

I agree with /a/ when they say Ninamori is the best girl. Haruko's insane (in a good way), and Mamimi's a delinquent. Even if she did rig the votes for the casting of Naota as Puss in Boots, she's still the best.
