Wrestling is the best in hilariously cheesy entertainment.

it's like violent soap operas for boys.

I meant boys as reference to the male gender.

Oh, you mean like in the Daniel Bryan v. Miz match last night? Dan stood there wobbling for several seconds and glanced back twice while waiting for Miz to approach and perform his finisher. I'm not sure who botched that more, Dan for being so obvious with the looks or Miz for hanging on the ropes too long, thus making the second look possible. No, Miz didn't move from the ropes before the second look was done. If he doesn't drop the title at either Elimination Chamber or 'Mania, I will be sorely disappointed with the creative direction of the writers.

Same, I admittedly don't watch too often, but for The Rock, I will.

He's just fun. :smileyvery-happy:

Souhm, how 'bout that Bleach making the top 3 for ratings last week?

That's pretty good.

I don't really get why it keeps beating out FMA: B in the ratings though, unless it's a time-slot thing.

You'd think since FMA was such a hit, FMA: B would be doing just as well.

Has it even cracked the top three since it started back with premieres?

The main reason FMA: B isn't cracking the top 3 is because the majority of the fanbase already saw it subbed a long time ago. So people are less likely to want to see the dub.

That's possible, I guess.

You'd think the casual anime fans who don't go and download/watch streams would be watching though.

I do somewhat think having it as the last premiere probably sets it up to not get as good ratings.

Personally, I would put it on right after Bleach. It'll probably get shuffled into that spot after Kekkaishi ends.

Yeah, I think putting it after Kekkaishi really hurts it's ratings. Most casual fans are probably really put off by Kekkaishi and end up going to bed early. This in turn causes bad ratings for FMA: B.

Although true, when the hiatus hit, and we had to shoot through the first 26 eps for a second time, people decided that they couldn't wait and went and watched the sub or bought the DVDs for the current eps that are showing. The DVDs were released shortly before the [as] airing, and that is another contributor to the lower ratings.

Or it could be because Fullmetal is on at 1 am and Family Guy, Boondocks, and Bleach are all bigger ratings winners with mainstream audiences and are all in more reasonable timeslots.

Fullmetal could have pulled GREAT numbers last week (400k+) and still not made the top 3. Which is a sign of a healthy programming block, really. On a regular week with no serious oddness going on, Fullmetal SHOULD be outside of the top 3 under the current schedule configuration. If it is regularly appearing in the top 3, then they're failing elsewhere in the schedule. Simple as that.

Anyway, today is a BIG gaming day. Dragon Quest VI's first ever American release shipped out yesterday and should be available nationwide today, Marvel vs. Capcom 3 lands on shelves for those not lucky enough to grab one of the early shipments, and, on top of that, one of the greatest strategy RPGs of all time arrives on the PSP in the form of Tactics Ogre. Awesome, awesome, and awesome.
