What are You Listening To: Volume XIX

¯  What are You Listening To?  ¯

Volume XIX

brought to you by SLiK

Wow, It looks like we're up to our nineteenth incarnation of these music threads? I would like to remind those who are new of the following:

  1. Only post songs that you are currently listening to.

No need for explaination: just post what you're listening to.

  2. The songs you post must have been from or related to an anime that has appeared on [as

       examples:

D-tecnolife is a song from BLEACH, so it would be alright to post songs by UVERworld, who performed the song on here.

REWRITE is a song from Fullmetal Alchemist, so other songs from ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION would be alright too.

More importantly, DO NOT BLATANTLY POST COMPLETELY UNRELATED SONGS **cough Lupe, cough cough Jay-Z, triple cough dipset**

  3. Please keep chatter to a minimum.

A little bit here and there isn't bad, but don't let it get out of hand.

  4. Quote chains must be less than four.

Any larger and we'll have pages with very very tiny scroll bars.

  5. No posting of illegal stuff.

basically.... (further clarification on this rule.)

  6. Do not repeatedly reply to yourself.  Please wait and let someone else post before your next one.

This would be better explained by k_dawg_3484: link

¯Happy Listening!¯

Let's start things off, shall we?

I think I can - the pillows: FLCL OST 2 - King of Pirates

Hah, I forgot this version I have has One Life added on to it.

I have a question about the second rule. So if an artist did a song that appears on a show on [as], then other songs that they have done that aren't on [as] are ok?

Yes, that's right.  For example, this song I'm listening to right now:

LAST DINOSAUR - the pillows: FLCL OST 1 - Addict

It's fine since it's from an anime that aired here.  By that logic, it's fine to post other songs related to this artist like Kim Deal from their album, MY FOOT.

Sweet! Well, in that case, since YUI did the current OP for Bleach then I'll mention the current FMA: Brotherhood OP that she also did. Its called "Again" and b4 I post it, does anyone know if who ever does the ED for FMA: Brotherhood did any songs for any [as] shows cause I am so loving that song also.

The ending theme to FMA2?  It's called Uso by SID.

HOME - HOME MADE 家族: HOME

For those of you who don't know, HOME MADE 家族 is a hip-hop group that did the first ending theme to BLEACH.  It was called "Thank You!!"

HYDE is the frontman for the rock band, L'Arc~en~Ciel who formed in the late 80's.  Since then they've had songs of theirs featured in many shows, such as Rurouni Kenshin, Fullmetal Alchemist, Mobile Suit Gundam 00, and Seirei no Moribito.  HYDE as a solo artist did the song SEASON'S CALL for BLOOD+.

Oh, you mean this song, Hakanaku mo Towa no Kanashi.  I was glad to hear them again doing a song for an anime series.

After Hanabi -listen to my beats- Nujabes: 2nd Collection

Nujabes is responsible for producing a good amount of the songs in Samurai Champloo.  His name is an anagram of his real name, Jun Seba.  He is the owner of his own record label, Hydeout Productions and Tribe, his own record store, Tribe.
