Lookin for something 5-20 bucks. I'm not much of a cosplayer, just need something dumb & fun to wear @ the cons this summer.

Can't help you there. Usually i just throw some dirt on myself grab a ripped up shirt and dress in some kinda get up to look like Drake.

Depends on who you want to dress up as. Can you sew or know someone who can and is willing to help? Also, general height/size/gender would be good to know. Any series or characters that you're flat out unwilling to dress as?

Simple my friend, The closet! No, seriously, a long sleeve white cotton shirt, a pair of jeans and BAM! you're L from Death Note.

step 2) make yourself a pair of horns

step 3) paint yourself grey

step 4) make yourself a troll shirt

costs about 20 bucks

did it myself, nothin' easier

hell if you decide to cosplay one of the kids it'll cost you like, maybe 10

What about One Piece? The main cast all have pretty simple outfits.

The cheapest cosply premade costumes that I know of are at least $50.  Even if you make one expect to pay over $40 to make something crappy.

Another cheap one would be Lil' Slugger from Paranoia Agent. All you need is a dark grey hoodie, some dark tan shorts. A red hat with some buttons on it, and some gold spray painted roller blades and plastic bat. (I say plastic cause cons won't let you in with metal)

Here's a couple of options I found. Use what you already have and scour thrift stores for what you don't.

Mal Reynolds from Firefly: Tan pants, black boots, red/brown button shirt, suspenders, toy gun or holster optional.

Ginko from Mushishi: White button shirt, brown pants, boots, cigarette.

Luffy from One Piece: Jean shorts, red vest, sandals, straw hat (try Hobby Lobby or the Hawaiian/luau section of your nearest party store for the hat).

Sanji from One Piece: Black suit, black tie, black shoes, blue shirt, cigarette.

Mario or Luigi: Come on do I even need to write a clothing list.

Finn from Adventure Time: Blue shorts, blue shirt, black shoes, green backpack, bunny hat (you can find patterns and tutorials for making that online).

Dr. House: Pretty much nice clothes and a cane. Walk with a limp.

Barney Stintson: Suit and a nice smile. Hit on anything with breasts.

Also here's this site. Just plug in some of your information at the top and it'll bring up a list of characters based on what you tell it.

if you are girl yomiko readman is easy to do just  mid to long leght skirth vest and buttin up blouse and blow and walk arounf a pice and paper in you hands or a book

Might have to make your costume from scratch with maybe simple clothes from Target, cause on eBay, cosplay runs around $100 or over

How cheap for bleach outfit?? What size are u? I made one before, and i am stockpile on black and white cloth..... (i kid you not.. stockpiled, = over 100 yards black and white)

Isn't the whole thrill of cosplay making the costume from scratch?

I mean, I wouldn't know because I think it's stupid and all but from what I can tell people are so proud of their ridiculous outfits they don't mind the ridicule they get when they're in between the house and the anime con.

I tend to agree since i made one myself...

One suggestion...... black polyester for soul reapers in bleach wont fade... but black cotton will fade. So............. if u sew on white cuffs on black cotton soul reaper Shihakusho (lit. "Garment of Dead Souls") Then............when u wash the costume..

The black dye will fade onto the white cuffs and then it will not look as good when u finish washing it.
