If they truly hated anime then it would be gone from the block entirely and they wouldn't be getting new anime to air.

They have also expressed much love for some of their anime in those bumps, such as Bebop and FLCL. The "AS hates its anime fans." complaint gets rather old honestly.

I wouldn't mind anime being on more often and some times the cracks get old but anime is still here.

You can blame the economic depression that occured in Japan and the United States in the last few years as a result of the decline in both the ratings on Adult Swim and both the sales and creation of anime in general.

I don't think that they hate it, it just doesn't get the ratings that their comedy series get.

I think they like anime but they're binded by the corporate powers that be. Someday there will be an epic standoff at WS between the anime contingent and the comedy overlords which will result in the collapse of the comedy empire and the establishment of AS as an anime network....

There are a couple reasons actually, so I'll give you a choice.

A) [as] doesn't hate anime, they hate the low ratings anime gets in comparison to the cost of getting it.

B) Japan doesn't make good anime, just otaku panty flash trash.

C) Good series won't make it past (double) Standards and Practices.

D) Anime fans mail garbage to [as]. Literally.

E) One of Obama's Czars outlawed it.

F) It was in the wheelchair granny was sitting in when the GOP pushed her over a cliff.

G) The HCUA ruled against it. (bonus points if you know what that is.)

I mean I quit watching the comedy block about 4 years back, [as] sees more of my DVR than my own viewership.

It's not that [as] hates anime, it's more along the lines of anime not fitting their stoner demographic IMHO, so they bashed it.

Also there used to be a day when [as] could bash any given anime and it get a lot of new members/replies/threads going in general around here, but well this place is more kin to being in Purgatory than an active forum anymore so....

Seriously...

If AS isn't going to respect it's own program schedule history, (and they SHOULD) why the heck would they expect to get respect in that area? The fans respected Adult Swim most, and there was the least amount of backlash, probably when they gave both halves (Comedy/Action) equal consideration. And not just comedy like they do now.
