It doesn't appear to me your programming efforts are gaining you market share. In simpler terms, I've been complaing about the programming for a good while to now avail. No matter, just like most 25-36 year olds, you get so caught up in new ideas you are forgetting what works. Now before you start cussing me, saying I am a relic of days past, how bout looking at the past and what was working, nee, was actually successfully building audience and market share. Oh...god forbid we talk about success rather than social agendas or some of your other obvious goals of nefarious dimensions: religion. Seems religion is a pet project up there in what ever stoopid way you can portray it. That's fine, mine is not a crusade but rather what actually works!
If yall will get your head out of your smasses and start writing good edgy, innovative humor you might find your numbers coming back. Lay off the politics and re-focus on the bizarre, inane, and socially marginal rather than a frontal assault with your political sausge. Hey.....it's just a though.
Time are hard, people want to laugh not be reminded how miserable this shytee has become. If you want to make a statement, push your creativity to the limit and say it with actual HUMOR instead of disdain and Cynicism.
Just a thought....or kiss my smass

thanks for the re-back.. you know, it was clearly stated as my opinion. but it it wasn't clearly evident to you that it was my personal opinion, let me restate the obvious, since the whole point of this board is to post "OPINIONS" and not necessarily facts...
again thanks for validating my life by responding...i was beginning to think i was alone out here the in the Great Wide Open.
it's all good isn't it....we have this great venue to discuss the very cartoons that give us pause in our lives. There is no doubt in my mind that cartoons can cure some of humanities most evil ills:....moles...colds...sore #### and possibly make childbirth a pleasure.

But... Adult Swim gets awesome ratings. They have no need to change everything about their channel to fit your ideal view of what it should be like.
Correct
Their only weak spots from what I can see are 9PM-10:30PM on Saturday and Sunday, 9PM some other nights of the week depending on the competition and very late on Saturday around 3AM-6AM. Despite their problems with weekend prime time on a recent week they were #3 in prime time with 18-34, #3 in total viewers total day and #1 for 18-34 and 18-49 total day ratings. They absolutely clean up with all young men's demographics as well.
Though original series are not pulling in what they used to and that is troubling they weekday line-up devastates the competition and that's going to keep it so they can afford to do worse on Saturday and Sunday for some hours.
But if they lost FG and AD they'd be pretty much hosed.

I don't think so. I dislike Family Guy and American Dad ( it's the same show ), seen King of the Hill, really dislike the annoying anime, except Cowboy Bebop and FLCL but I've already seen them.
If I do have it on my telly, it's for background noise, that's it.

Opinions are one thing.
Misinformed opinions are another.
We may not necessarily enjoy the new programming that has been coming out of Williams Street lately, but the reality is, it is still getting the eyeballs that they, and their advertisers, are looking for. I'm not a fan of Loiter Squad, but I've seen the press releases showing that it is still getting numbers.
It would be so nice if they went back to their 2001 roots, but what needs to be understood is that the 21 year olds that were watching back in 2001 are now 32 years old, 2 years away from falling out of their target 18-34 year old bracket. Yeah, it's nice if they're still watching, but they won't be carrying the disposable income that advertisers want their audience to drop on their products anymore. So as much as [adult swim] would love to keep the 30 year olds, they need to continuously focus on the college-aged crew that will be watching for years to come.
I'd love it if they went back to old-school Aqua Teen, Harvey Birdman, Brak and Space Ghost, as well as reacquire some of the anime titles they had in 2004-2006, but it's not going to happen. I'm slowly leaving their age focus.
Yes... SLOWLY. Don't correct me on that. ![]()

If you're imploring change, the way to make it happen is with facts. Thus, the logical assumption that you thought what you were posting was fact. If you admit it's just your opinion, then you admit you have no argument.
You certainly complain with more eloquent thread titles than most.
