Best Adult Swim Saturday ever?

Or just one of the best ever?
This Saturday night, it's a heavyweight collision! Newly crowned UFC Heavyweight Champion Junior Dos Santos, fresh off of his 1st round knockout victory over Cain Velasquez on Fox, returns to the Octagon to battle submission specialist Frank Mir in an all heavyweight card! Cain attempts to bounce back from his devastating loss against Brazilian wrecking machine Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva! Plus, Jason "Mayhem" Miller returns on the FX Prelim show to battle CB Dolloway! The action starts 8pm on FX and 10pm on PPV! I mean, what the hell else would you watch?

Maybe we'll get lucky and keep this schedule with more Family Guy, more Robot Chicken, and zero animu every week.

Neither.

Bring back Futurama, give me a night without FG or AD, put in a KOTH or two, and round up the best of ATHF, Sealab and HB.  Sprinkle a Home Movies or two and finish the night with Space Ghost.  There.

4 hours of Robot Chicken is pretty excessive and that's only one more episode of Family Guy than usual.

3 hours of Star Wars: The Clone Wars is especially... less than interesting. I guess something kept them from airing the other Family Guy Star Wars specials.

But are you really saying you'd rather have The Clone Wars instead of Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell and The Big O? I mean can you even say you'd rather watch TCW than FMA:B, Kekkaishi and Durarara? Cause I'd still prefer those to The Clone Wars animated series.

But we all know you're just trolling to rile up the anime viewers.

Admittedly the three hours of CW is a bit much, but the overall comedy quality and total lack of animu are AWESOME.

Star Wars marathon on Saturday with Robot Chicken star wars, Family Guy star wars, and Clone Wars instead of the usual lineup. It will be terrible.

While I like Star Wars and all, I already own the RC stuff, never got into the Clone Wars, and honestly, miss an FG SW episode? wait a week, it'll be on some other channel.

Looks like this really was the best weekend to get that Wii.

I'm glad I have other stuff to do.........I was actually worried I might miss something.

Not like they don't show the Starwars Eps, of FG, and RC every few weeks anyway.

Kaitlyn brought a wolf for me to fight, and refused to speak to me until I'd bested it in battle.
I did so, easily. Because there are three things that I'm the t!ts at: Barbecuing, Mega Man 2 and finding lupine pressure points.
I thought we'd mack a little after that, but she just laugh-cried manically over the wolf corpse until her face turned purple. Also, she was driving an Aztek and that's literally my only deal breaker.

If you folks had to do some sort of marketing gig with Lucas et al, couldn't you have done it on a Thurs or Fri night when the line up is already pretty weak?

I'm bummed you axed the only remaining night of anime left on your schedule. Guess it's a good impetus to rent some new anime and stop watching AS's reruns.

We live in an age where Hulu is available on not only all major consoles, but cell phones, computers, tablets, and those little Roku streaming boxes, and offers literally 50 times the anime Adult Swim does on demand. There is NO excuse at this point for relying on Adult Swim for anime. Particularly as their choices are so terrible.

being a little blunt here but the same thing can be said for virtually all the high-ratings comedy currently within the schedule at [as]. and not everyone has the access to the types of brandwidth needed to get programs online. you ever try to pick up a video with 2 bars in the middle of podunka, usa? if phone calls #### on a cell phone with that, video not happening. so constantly beating the drum to remove all the anime that is currently only scheduled for only a handful of hours one night within the full scoop of the company's scheduled hours is just such a level of sad that it would make space ghost cry.

here's the lay-down. saturdays are a tough sell because people are busy. everyone knows that. even the basement dwellers. but the anime gets solid core ratings. don't like the choices offered, fine. suggest something that can actually work on cable tv without ending up being gutted or costing more that cc spent on futurama and watch the magic happen. don't like anime, fine too. but don't harp about how it's very existance on a night that you don't watch anyway is somehow destroying your tv / life. it isn't unless you are strapped to a gurney and the remote is broken and you fidn yourself being ocularly assaulted at midnight by a soul reaper with battle boobs. ...need to have a commercial featuring that. ratings through the roof. :smileyvery-happy:

and for the whole saturday schedule getting the wobbles for this star wars thing, saturdays also tend to be the easiest to change at a moments notice for special occasions and because of the day itself with people usually having the following day off. it's one of the crappier aspects of saturday. if mondays were holidays, and many of us wish it was! , sundays would likely see more schedule shakeups. it's why saturdays see specials like this for the whole 3D release thing and those BK schedules from hell things. so for those at a major sad about the schedule this week, see you next week then. for those of you so in love with hating, guess that nielsen box will be turned off next week. because anime will be back. enjoy the show ya'll.

seems like you #### alot of people off that way almost like a middle finger to anime viewers.  I enjoy catching the new bleach every saturday I every night of the week is the exact same atleast saturday and sunday they mix it up.  Why couldn't they have their clone war which is on cartoon network almost constantly on thursday or friday.  Not that it makes a differance to me I'll just go to sleep early is all.

I kinda wonder too why not Friday night since The Clone Wars already plays on Fridays and I don't think there was a re-mier of American Dad last night as any excuse. Thursdays are the de facto 'Sucking Up Your Night - Live Action Style' night right now so that's probably why not Thursday.

I haven't paid much attention [mainly because I didn't feel like battling the dude dressed as a Jedi with a mohawk for seats] but if SW I : 3D officially opened today, it probably had midnight madness showings last night. So all the die-hard nerds would have been there last night, not watching tv at home, and maybe [as] is hoping to suck in those same nerds tonight after they've returned from an evening showing but still feel like geeking out to hawt lightsaber-on-lightsaber action.

I understand what is being said, but still think it sucks too. :smileysad: I likes my animes and I am one of those who doesn't do the online stuff [dial-up - if I can see a 5 second youtube video, it's a miracle] so [as] is the only place I can watch stuff now. SyFylis dropped the ball in a major way and my basic cable provider doesn't offer anything else.

Well, like I said before, perfect night to fiddle with that second-hand Wii because I won't be missing anything important. Running a GameCube marathon on that tonight - Zelda trumps Sith fatally.

They already have comedy 7 days a week if you consider the 9-11pm CST 10-12 EST slots on Saturday. I like Star Wars & Robot Chicken but they should do it a different night.
