If I could pay 100 dollars to get One Piece or various other anime I enjoy on US television I would. Because I've spent more than that much on One Piece DVDs.
Problem is it would take a lot more than 100 dollars as the other people have said. You have to buy the time on a TV network and buy the rights to broadcast the series you want and something like One Piece costs the big bucks because Toei Animation expects so much of one of the most successful cartoons in Japan.
We're talking thousands of dollars or theoretically hundreds of people paying 100 dollars.
Personally I don't complain about what anime Adult Swim doesn't air and neither do a lot of other people who are content with what they have and I agree that the people who do nothing but complain about what they don't have and/or pirate anime need to find something better to do with their time and effort.
But you know what's just as annoying about people whining about anime? People whining about the people whining about anime.
