eh, think what you want man, but if funky, or anyone else wants to use social networking sites then its their porogotive

you can say hes a negative stereotype (which I think is what your getting at?) but honestly its only promoting any sort of negative stereotype if one implies that all young folk do that

if someone just mentions using a social networking site in passing, theyre not out of line at all

just like how black people are allowed to eat fried chicken without being called a negative stereotypes

 So if I'm following you, we shouldn't mention using social networking sites like Facebook, MySpace or Twitter accounts because there's a negative stereotype running around that everyone under the age of 30 uses them, particularly those under the age of 18?

If the above is correct: So what? There's a negative stereotype that everybody over the age of 60 loves early bird dinner specials. Does that mean those over 60 should never mention eating before 5 PM in order to set a stereotype-breaking example? I don't see the harm in using or talking about the [as] twitter feed.

If my original assessment is not correct, then I'm still a bit lost. I'm running on even less sleep than usual due to a sick child, so perhaps I'm being a bit slow as a result.

I'll stop here before I get in too deep because I'm not fully sure myself why I feel such negativity towards them. Suffice it to say that the negative stereotype thing is only a secondary reason, but whatever. Might just be that I'm an introvert, so to each their own.

 Social networking sites and services don't suit everyone. I don't have a Facebook page at present, although I'll probably have to set one up eventually. They can apparently really help when you're new to the job market.
