Okay, I'm sure it's a regional thing. ANd I know [as] has no control (or very little) on the commercials shown on their network...

However, more this channel than others, this commercial keeps interrupting my television viewing. Poor [adultswim] is being taken over and ravaged, by this gospel pledging, bible toting, poor-man's country singer, Ronnie Milsap. His commercial is blatantly annoying.

 Anyone else get annoying commercials cutting into awesome [as] bumps and/or shows?

Ronnie Milsap is a country music icon, he reached that status through writing atleast 40 #1 hits. He was born with a congenital birth defect and lost his eyesight. Making him country's first blind superstar. So think of him as country's version of Ray Charles.

 I don't particularily care for country music and even I know of this man.

You should be ashamed at how you regard your elders. Regardless of the fact this man has made more money and given more of it away to help others than you'll ever lay your eyes on.  So in short, sir, he is an icon, while you sir, are a moron.

I get the Milsap commercial too, I don't think it's regional.

The commercials I get that are regional don't cut into bumps, but they're pretty awful all the same. Sunrise Toyota, for example.

I caught it reaaaaally early in the morning.  Couldn't wrap my head around whether or not it was a joke. =/

yea i thought it was F'n hilarious until i realized it wasnt a joke.

then i just felt stoopid.

 Why on earth would they air that commercial during AS is beyond me..... I didnt think there was a whole lot of a AS crowd that would cater to that type of music, just doesnt sound like good marketing on Mr Milsaps part.

KInda like showing tampon commecials on TNNs deer hunting or something.

I caught it one night when I passed out drunk and when I came to it was on, I thought it was a Tim and Eric segment.  Same thing happened with the "Trains!" commercial

I had no idea who he was either.  Not knowing some singer does not make someone a moron.  I hate country music so I don't know or give a crap about this guy.

Ronnie Milsap likes to sing songs no one likes to hear or listen to, and um he does it about as horifically as possible. You know the felling u got when u listened to N'SYNC? Picture that hell times 10, and thats a Milsap song.

I thought that in order to be an icon people had to actually know who you are. But your absolutely right, we should totally defferential to anyone who is older and has more money than us, even though you have know idea how much money or how old anyone here is, so you really don't have a clue what your talking about. But you could be older than me so I guess that means I should regard you with some great esteem, just in case.

Hahahahaha....that made me all warm inside.

Chances are that Mr. Milsap, or whoever is paying for that commercial, know their target audience.  And that audience is people who are up late at night on the weekdays watching adult cartoons...in other words, converts!  I have the greatest respect for him, but seeing him in the middle of my Tim and Eric isn't going to make me want to become a Christian or buy his album.  Sorry Ronnie.

I think you're the only one that caught that I was joking.. maybe. Kudos! Apologies to the rest that didn't catch on, I'll take the blame for not being obvious enough.  

Assuming {AS} does have any say so over their commercials. I would imagine they aired Ronnie and the Life Alert as a gag. Like the old people swimming that they use to have.

Yea I was thinking that too.............. who knows though, one to many hits of the bong and usually im crying "Help! Ive fallen and cant get up!"  so that one might actually have some use to the AS crowd.
