It's got more than 10 years left...although it may be due for a major asthetic re-design or even rebranding in 2-3.

It's like saying "Don't push the button." You wanna press it.
I do seriously belive that while [adult swim] has a lot of life left, it's due for a visual re-design, since the old design is nearly ancient in TV time.

That hinges heavily on how long they can keep the FOX reruns around because if they didn't have those then they'd be hard pressed to maintain a few hour block that would get good enough ratings much less a 9 hour one.
Nick at Nite has been around for years and years so theorectically Adult Swim will do the same as long as it continues to air acquired content that draws a crowd.
It actually does not take that much to keep a channel going for a long time. Decent ratings and enough advertisers interested in buying slots will pay the bills just fine.
If the FOX gravy train keeps going then there's really not telling how long it could last. Maybe 10 years? Maybe 20? Do you have any idea how long some channels have been around? As long as they meet the markets needs they wont be taken off the air.
If the FOX shows were no longer part of the equation they could probably last several years by shrinking back. They have enough successful shows to manage the overnight hours of Cartoon Network even if it means going crawling back to airing some anime on weekdays or finally letting some long ignored originals see the light of day again.
I would have to figure Adult Swim is going more and more mainstream in it's approach and they'll hold on to those FOX reruns for dear life. They might even change the name at some point and I suppose that could be argued as "the end of Adult Swim" but probably shouldn't be if not much changes other than the name.
For all we know Adult Swim might outlast linear television because we are probably relatively close to phasing out traditional linear television for a more efficient method of entertaining viewers and getting their money.
I'm going to figure whether or not it's called Adult Swim, Cartoon Network will continue use some of their prime time and all of their overnight hours to target adult viewers for as long as they continue existing as a channel. There's really no reason to give the overnight hours back to children's programming. The few kids who are up that late are watching The Disney Channel, Nicktoons or Disney XD which are already 24/7 family friendly networks.

So? I think the way they have things now is still working for them, no need to redesign just because it's "old".

I don't think it's set to change tomorrow.
But come two or three years from now, while the name "Adult Swim" is still here, you may see a new visual design. That's how networks operate.

Dunno. But if you consult the schedule:
http://www.adultswim.com/schedule/index.html
16 out of 18 or 8 out of 9half hour slots are devoted to either Fox comedies, Robot Chicken, which was created basically by the Family Guy people, & then there's Aqua Teen & Boondocks.
Delocated & T&E are the only things on the schedule tonight. And for the rest of the regular schedule. Most T&E episodes they show were made 07-09. You basically have a half hour of the newer crap programming. Save on Thursdays & Sundays & even then [as] has basically become Fox replay channel.
What the hell else is there? When they got rid of anime they destroyed themselves -- & this forum, in the process.

When will it end though?
i give it 5 or so years, if that. Maybe up to a decade, who knows. If they can find some kind of alternative viewing platform. I started watching when I was 19. I'm 28 now. That should tell you something else. Their viewership base is aging rapidly.
So I dunno. In another 5 or so years I'm prob. gonna be too busy with work & #### to watch. Lets hope/wonder if FG can retain its relevance for that long.

Well, let's say that AS stopped airing syndicated shows. Do you think the block would really end up dying? When it first started its only syndicated show was Cowboy Bebop, and it seemed to do OK. Now that it has Squidbillies, Robot Chicken, ATHF, The Boondocks, and a few other strong originals, I get the feeling that even without Fox shows AS could keep airing from 11:00pm - 6:00am every day. But it would probably lose most of Prime Time to CN if it didn't have Fox shows to carry it through. The weeknight schedule would probably look something like:
11:00 Robot Chicken
11:30 ATHF
12:00 Squidbillies
12:30 The Boondocks (Thursday: Live Action premiers)
1:00 Live Action
1:30 Metalocalypse/The Venture Brothers
2:00 Robot Chicken
2:30 ATHF
3:00 Squidbillies
3:30 The Boondocks (Thursday: Live Action Premiers)
4:00 DVR Theater
4:30 Live Action
5:00 Metalocalypse/The Venture Brothers
5:30 Home Movies/Birdman/Sealab

I can tell you one thing, that within the next 40 years, there will be another world war. In fact, it will happen sooner than most people think.
I don't think a world war would erupt now, even with Israel and Iran at each other's balls. Even with Russia and China threatening retaliation if anyone does something to stop the crisis in Syria. This kind of stuff is tame compared to the relations in the Cold War. I think that WWIII will occur within the 2020's or 2030's, if the circumstances are right.
