Robot Chicken is the most overrated piece of garbage ever.  I go to a college and whenever somebody mentions cartoons and/or [adult swim] they say "OMG DID YOU SEE ROBOT CHICKEN?  THAT SHOW IS THE GREATEST SHoW EVAR! LOL"  No, it's not.  The long bits are terrible and dragged out too long.  And there's also the dumb references where they do nothing good with them.  "OMG LOOK WE'RE MAKING THE HULK LIKE A REAL CELEBRITY ON ONE OF THOSE BIOGRAPHY THINGS.  FUNNY."  No.  That eats balls.  "OMG LOOK.  VOLTRON MIXED WITH YOU GOT SERVED.  WE ARE SO HIP AND UP TO DATE WITH RECENT MOVIES."  And Seth Green is too busy trying to make it like his own, miraculously less funny Family Guy.  He just changed the format a little for the worse.

Family Guy, same thing, but less hatred for it as that's slightly more funny.  It's still overrated and overplayed.  It doesn't deserve resurrection.

American Dad drinks liquid poo.  MacFarlane is a hack who can only make the same things over and over again with only a few changes.  This time, all for the worse.

The Seths need to be dragged to the back and have their hearts scooped out with a frickin' spoon, stupid, no-talent, overrated, assless hacks that they are.

Tom and Milk chan.

I... just don't know what's up with them. But they both seem to suffer from the same problem.

They... think they're hilarious. The writers seem to think that they're being hilarious, because you see, they are being funny by not trying to be funny, only they are, and it just confuses the crap out of me. There have been times when, after watching these shows, I turn off the television and sit there for a good ten or fifteen minutes seriously wondering if the creators of these shows actually thought they were being funny, or if it was all some practical joke on me.

When I hear people speak highly of them i feel like I'm taking crazy pills or something. There is literally zero comedic value in either show. Zero entertainment. It's like some weird cartoon form of modernistic artwork. They're just trying to be different for the sake of being different.

It just doesn't work that way.

Speaking of Robot Chicken, did anyone see it's adult swim guide? WTF? It is more screwed up than...something screwed up. Seriously, it had like the wrong sketches in the episode discriptions and crap, and it was missing like 4 episodes and everything.  **bleep** too, i needed a history check.

Anyway, RC is now the highest rated orignal [as] series! Even i don't think it's THAT good. Still, it is awesome.

I have seen 3 episodes of TGTM and so far they are 0-3. There was 1 instance out of 3 full episodes that I concidered even remotely humorous. After the first episode I saw, I didnt like the show. I gave it a second chance, I was disappointed, I came to the website and read through these forums but didnt post. As they say "3 strikes and your out" unfortunately this show has failed to entertain me 3 out of 3 times. On this, the 3 time I have wasted my time with this program, I have decided to post on the forums. I must question the motives behind airing this show. I think it is an evil plot by adult swim to get themselves some more web traffic. Airing this horrid program and then advertising their forums durring some commercial breaks, driving tortured viewers to their website to complain. Its like 15 minute subliminal message disguised as a really bad TV show. But seriously that is the only reason I can come up with when I ask myself, why, why, WHY is this on the air.

Not many comedy shows, but I dislike Venture Bros. It has a few 'heh' moments, but its trying too hard to be 'serious and witty' or whatever and it just comes off as boring/lame.

TGTTM rocks my face off, though.

And even if it isnt comedy, I hate EVERY SINGLE anime ever made EVER. Anime fans need to be thrown into the deepest largest burning pit available.

If there's one show I'd light on fire and refuse to put out via urination, it's Super Milk Chan. On IRC I hear non stop about how SMC is "funny." It's formulaic and retarded at best. The first time I saw it, all I did was look at my TV screen with a dumbfounded look and ask myself, "What in the **bleep** did spend 30 minutes of my life on?" Here, I can practically lay out an entire episode for you (all of the following events are in no particular order save the ending):

Milk and crew screw around in some form.
Landlord shows up unexpectedly to collect rent and Milk gets out of it.
The insects (more specifically how the guy think's the wife is cheating on him).
A phone call between the President and Milk, with mission details.
Dr. Eyepatch in some form (usually in the sequence of request item, instructional video of item, suggestion of scrapping Tetsuko in favor of new robot, fade out only to come back with some creepy/screwball one liner).
Hinage's aside.
And finally, the final recommendation of going for sushi.

Forget about how each episode has it's own little niche, it's the same rehashed crap over and over. *deep breath*

And don't get me started on Tom Goes...

The only episode of Tom I remotely liked was the one with Tenacious D.  That's only because I love Jack Black and KG.  Thing that **bleep** though, even two sexy chunks of funny like them couldn't pull that turd ball show out of the crapper.  Oh, I love RC but I can't help but think about the cartoon versions of "Where are They Now?".  Google it or go to starterupsteve.com.  You'll see what I mean.  I for one can understand why RC would be number one.  It's original AND funny, and it's been a while since [AS] has acquired a show that has both of those qualities.  Besides, you know that Seth Green would pwn you noobs at some ping-pong, you're just jealous!!!!

So basically in exchange for the cancellation of the three best shows (Sealab, ATHF, and Brak show) on AS, we get a 15 minute long gay joke with crappy lazy animation and isn't funny at all (TGTTM), a cartoon from japan which you would have to be high on angel dust to find the least bit funny let alone even understand (SMC), and two shows where noone knows what in god's name is going on and looks like they were written after 53 straight hours of binge drinking and a massive hangover after waking up next to a french prostitute named Jim (perfect hair and squidbillies)?

The problem with this kind of thread is that it's just here to segregate the supposed haters from the rest of the board, much like a leper colony. Nobody really wants to have their opinion treated like a disease. But that's all that posting here says: "I've got to lance this boil and let some puss out, so stand back."

Who is going to read all the posts in such a thread once it's accrued any length, if even the first or last page? Posting here is wasted effort. But make the pegged topic(s) specific to a particular program, and at least the posters can imagine their effort as contributing to a unified statement of disapproval -- if not a petition.

I started out loving TGTTM because of the vicious John Walsh parody (I think there's something kind of wrong about the guy making a living off his dead kid, and apparently, I'm not the only one). Then I started to get tired of it, but it seems to be wearing me down to where I like it again.

SMC, on the other hand, gives me plenty of time to take out the trash, use the toilet and grab a snack. One viewing is really about all that cartoon can take; perhaps the US-culture translation version might be ... better. But I can't hate it, since I usually do need to take out the trash or use the toilet.

i would agree with you, i wasnt going to say anything about perfect hair or squid billys since well they might be jokes, and we havent seen any thing of them other than the few times they wre on the air.  but from what i have seen of them they blow chuncks majorly.  i missed that stroker and hoop but i am afriad that it will be the same thing.

as for tgttm.  wtf.  im not even gonna get in to the animation because that is besides the point, but the dialoge is terrible, it is torcher to listen to, nothing but stupidness.  most of the talking is ahhhhhhhh and ummmmmm and not getting to the point of what they are talking about. and its creepy.  i dont do drugs but let me tell you i want to do them just so i dont have to watch this terrible show.  all i am thankfull for is that it is only 15 mins long and it gives me time to go and take a bath while there is nothing good on tv.

smc... i dont really like this show either, however my boyfriend thinks its great.  i really dont understand this thinking but then again he has an odd sence of humor. 

i know that there is stuff that people like and stuff they dont like, and every one has their own opinon about what is good or not.  but as you can see from this thread that as much as people like these shows there are more that dont.  pleace stop torchering us

RepOrama said it. Thats exactly how I feel. I've tried watching TGTTM 4 times, and it failed to make me smile even once. Milk Chan is inane at best. How many times can the word dumba$$ be inserted into a show and still thought to be funny. Hell, some people here actually knew the names of the secondary characters, which is more thought than I ever put into that show!

I LOVE RC, but I think its because I am nostalgic for all of those toys from my youth. I had alot of them, and seeing them again makes me happy.

What? No more hunger force? WHAT?!?? Being new to the forums (not to AS) I just found out they were gone from the line up. Milk Chan stays and hunger force is gone?!??!?!? What the hell?

Here's hoping that they picked up some sweet new anime on the Japan trip. I'll be looking forward to it.

The plotline of every episode is the same: Tom gets idea, Tom visits mayor, Mayor is an idiot, Tom gets boned. I challenge you to find even a single exception to that generalization. After the first season, I fully expected this bomb to get cancelled and the material to be burned, then the fumes to be captured as an environmental hazard too dangerous to be let loose. And then this monstrosity, this morbid 'gift' (in the same way that what your cat leaves in its litterbox is a 'gift') to Adult Swim actually develops a fan base (most of whom I strongly expect tend to wear helmets even when not riding bicycles, if you catch my drift)? It utterly defies logic, and serves as object proof that humanity has become an evolutionary dead-end.

Super Milk Chan suffers from similarly impaired humor, but there's even less originality. Hey, how about another Japanese culture reference that none of the American viewers will get? Or maybe we could see Milk Chan trick the landlord out of paying her rent again, by pretending to be someone else? We haven't done THAT a million times already! Oh, wait, yes we have. And in the same way, most of the time. While many shows can be said to be bereft of sincere originality, Super Milk Chan is utterly formulaic in nature, to the point of being boring. I can predict how each episode is going to go before I even view it. The jokes are utterly unfunny, the offbeat cultural references are usually so obscure and banal that they evoke nothing more than a 'huh?', and the animation is weak enough to make me mildly ill. I mean, honestly...if you substituted another word in for 'dumbass' and rescripted slightly, this would fit just fine on Cartoon Network's normal line-up. Grow up.

So consider this a plea from a longtime Adult Swim fan. I realize that not every series you pick up can be a gem; the laws of probability dictate that in a stack of unwrapped Snickers bars, you'll eventually find a dog turd. The key is in recognizing it for what it is and not stuffing it indiscriminately into your mouth. In the name of all that is funny and viewable, cancel these two series. Put them out of our misery.
