What new shows may be coming to Adult Swim?:  Currently, there are new episodes of Family Guy in production for Fox, you can discuss that here.  No new episodes for Home Movies or The Brak Show are currently being produced.  If you wish to see more of these or other AS shows not currently in production, please post in the Comedy Show Suggestions folder.  Space Ghost Coast to Coast is currently on hiatus, and no official word has been given to the show’s future as of yet.  Squidbillies is a new Williams Street original show being produced for the Adult Swim block.  Venture Brothers is another new show and can be discussed here.  Other new projects are unveiled periodically in the Announcements Folder,

How do I post a thread?:  Please note that no one of the board rank of SwimNewbie may post a new thread. They can post within already existing threads that are open to posting, but not post their own new threads. SwimNewbies should take this time to acquaint themselves with the Message Board Guidelines and Official FAQ.

Before posting your thread, know that we often delete duplicate threads, so be sure to search for an already existing thread with the same topic. You can most easily do this by using the Advanced Search Function or the regular old Search Function.

Once you're sure there isn't an already existing topic:

1. Toward the top left hand corner of the page click the "New Message" button with the page icon next to it.

2. Type the name of your thread into the white "Message Subject" line. Be sure to search for thread of similar topics before making a new one, and be sure the title of your thread is relevant to the folder you are posting it in, as well as to the topic you are posting about.

3. Type your message in big black text box. You may use board features to alter the font, the type size, color of the text, hyperlink, insert smiley faces, use bold face, italics, underline or scratch features to enhance your message. There are other tricks you can use as well by editing your post as html. For tips on that, consult the Forum HTML and you... thread in the AdultSwim.com Folder.

4. Once your post is complete, hit the "Submit Post" button in the lower left-hand corner of the screen. Within seconds, your thread should appear on the message board in the folder in which you posted it.

5. Once your thread is posted, try to keep it on topic.

Why was my thread deleted?:  According to the OFFICIAL Guidelines and Folder Definitions for the Adult Swim Message Board:

Answer: Boring threads/messages are often deleted in order to protect our desire to provide this forum. "Boring" is defined as anything that hurts our heads. This includes malicious flaming and references to illicit acts (We enjoy most illicit acts, but we don't feel a need to discuss them here - You shouldn't either.), Repetitive threads, chatting, shout-outs, trolling and flaming.

Other quick guidelines:

1. Search for an already existing topic before making a new one, duplicate topics are often deleted. And that is the biggest reason for thread deletion in the Comedy folder. most common among duplicate threads are:

Question Threads: If you have a question about a particular episode of a show or a voice on a show, chances are someone has already asked it. So use the Search Functions before posting.

Hate/Love Threads: If you hate a show on the Comedy block so to need to post about it, don’t make a new thread, the Man, do I hate that show!!! thread already exists in the Rants section especially made for expressing your distaste for a particular show. Similarly for if you like a show, we all know that “ATHF ROX!!” so creating a new thread to express that opinion is a moot point, simply find a thread already created.

2. Posting a spoiler as your thread topic, or posting spoilers in your thread without marking them, will get your thread deleted. If somebody else posts a spoiler in your thread, send in an Abuse Report, and be sure to note that you would like the spoiler post removed from your thread. Odds are, the rest of the thread will not be deleted in that case unless it contains multiple unmarked spoilers.

3. Since this is the [adult swim] Comedy Folder, threads about shows not currently airing on [adult swim] or under contract to be aired on [adult swim] may be deleted.

4. Suggestions about the [adult swim] Comedy block programming schedule belongs in the Comedy Show Suggestions Folder, and may be deleted if posted in the Comedy folder. The Comedy Show Suggestions Folder has it’s own guidelines too, so be sure to read those before posting a new suggestion.

5. Any post containing illicit links, including those involving piracy, will be deleted on sight, and the person who posts it runs the risk of being banned from the forum.

6. DO NOT exchange personal or contact information, i.e.: phone numbers or email addresses, on the boards. That will likely get your thread deleted. The only exception to this is IM screen names, which you may exchange. If you wish to exchange any other contact or personal information, please do it in IM or elsewhere.

7. Once your thread is posted, try to keep it on topic. If your thread becomes flamey or chatty, one option is to send in an abuse report on your own thread, requesting that the mod not delete the thread, but maybe warn the flamers or chatters, and perhaps delete just the offending posts. Note that this might not be possible if there are too many such flame/chat posts in the thread, but if there is only a few, it might be salvageable.

Where can I go to ask questions about the music of my favorite comedy shows?:  Questions about music used in the Williams Street original shows (like the Brak Show, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Harvey Birdman Attorney At Law, Space Ghost Coast To Coast, Squidbillies, Sealab 2021, etc) and the music that plays during the commercial bumps are answered in this {Official] Music thread floated in the Williams Street Culture folder.

You can check out the "What the **bleep** did he just say?: Adult Swim Lyrics" thread for a comprehensive list of song lyrics from comedy shows that have aired on Adult Swim.

There are also song downloads from Home Movies available at Brendon Small's [OFFICIAL] web site and the songs of Home Movies are discussed in a thread this thread by the_evergreenSome of the music and lyrics of Sealab 2021 can be found at mcchris.com, and there's a fansite with some lyrics posted called podsix.net

What Are the Lyrics To the Aqua Teen Hunger Force Theme Song?:  Near as I can figure based on the BW bumps and various postings on the board, and my own careful listenage:

My name is.........Shake-zula, tha mic rulah, tha ol' schoola, you wanna trip - i'll bring it to ya.

Frylock, and i'm on top rock ya like a cop, Meatwad ya up next wit your knock knock.

Meatwad make the money see, Meatwad get the honeys G.
Drivin in my car, livin like a star, ice on my fingers on my toes and i'm a taurus, aw check check it - yeah

cause we are the Aqua Teens, make the homies say ho, and the girlies wanna scream. ( repeat )

Aqua Teen Hunger Force... numba 1 in tha hood G.

What is the gem on Frylock's back for?:   The gem on Frylock's back, according to his dialog with Hesh during the New Year's Eve Party 2004, is the source of his power, meaning his eyebolts, and possibly his ability to hover.

The new FAQ she is almost completely done.  We'll be tweaking it a bit and finishing it up, but I thought it was complete enough to post on the board and we'd gone long enough without one.

Enjoy!

How's this for a frequently asked question:

"Is Stewie/Frylock/Carl/[insert character name] gay?"

I suggest the answer be something along the lines of:

"Grow up."

Is Stewie Gay?:

Depends on the joke or bit that's being done in the show at any given moment.  Stewie has something of an effeminate Vincent Price villain type thing going for him.  That sometimes makes for some good jokes about him possibly being gay.  There are other elements of the character that make good jokes about perhaps the kind of woman he'd ultimately end up with and things of that nature.

So the answer is:  Stewie is gay or straight depending upon the joke or bit he's in at the time.
