If you're like me, and wondering what the hell "Hot Package" is, here's what I found: Hot Package is a pilot for Adult Swim created by Derrick Beckles (TV Carnage) and produced by Jon Stern (Children's Hospital). A bizarre satire of entertainment news, it's hosted by tv legend Pat O'Brien, and relentlessly skewers the celebrity worship of shows like Entertainment Tonight. It was recently picked up by Adult Swim for 6 episodes to air later in 2011. This is from http://peteratencio.com/projects.html
Seems like it could be the show formerly titled "The Best of......Derrick Beckles"
The Eric Andre Show is the live action talk show parody hosted by comedian Eric Andre and Loiter Squad is the live action sketch show made by Odd Future (you know, the one everyone's looking forward to)

yellow stuff: haven't seen much of China or Black Dynamite but looks promising, also wondering if Metalocalypse will take the leap to "greatness" this season
red stuff: never thought I'd say this....too much live action! Eagleheart, you got some 'splainin to do. p.s. WHERES THE BOB ODENKIRK SHOW?

Hey, Eagleheart's good old-fashioned family entertainment! But I see your point, between all those, CH, NTSF, Newsreaders (whenever that's coming), Bulls and Latinos (whatever the new Tim and Eric show is, also depends if it's even going to Adult Swim, we don't know), Check it Out season 2 , the possibility of more Heart, She Holler, there is alot of live action shows coming/coming back. I would prefer a more balanced mixture of animation and live-action on the line-up, but given the very nature of animation, they always take longer to produce then the live action shows (like Venture and Boondocks)
Oh and by the way, I posted this in another thread, but here's a 6-minute teaser of The Eric Andre Show, be warned, not all of is clean.

I found a reason why Metalocalypse was pushed back 2 weeks, a maybe anyway.
Bryan Beller had a Tweet/Facebook post that said he had just heard Brendon Small's solo album and it good. And hinted that it was coming out the end of April.
So if it's being put out by Williams Street Music, it might have been done as a tie-in with Metalocalypse.

Oh, that would make sense. I didn't even know he was working on a solo-album, but I love the soundtrack to Home Movies season 4 and both dethalbums, so I'm really excited for whatever he puts out next.
Yep, Brendon has been working on it for a couple of years now. He announced it at the 2010 Golden Gods Awards. and we have been waiting that long, too!

For what ? The show or the album? Both take time to make. And remember, the only season that ran from 1st episode to last without a break was the 1st season. And that because Brendon & Tommy had been working on it for about 2 years before it premiered.
After season 1 ended, Brendon got right to work on the 1st Dethalbum. And working on the 2nd season as well. And producing the extras for the 1st season DVD. Then they released the Dethalbum, the 1st season DVD and started the first half of the 2nd season all 9 months after the end of the 1st season. AND Brendon & company were preping, producing, and doing the mini college tour to see if they could take Dethklok on tour.
Season 2 ran in two parts- the fall of 2007 and spring of 2008.
The summer of 2008 Dethklok did the first big tour. Plus Brendon was still working on the second half of the 2nd season while on tour.
After season 2, Brendon got right to work on the 2nd Dethalbum. And work on the 3rd season.
2009 saw the release of Dethalbum 2, the 2nd big tour, and the premiere of the first half of season 3. Brendon again worked on season 3 while on the tour. Season 3 finished up in 2010.
Now, know that there was no contract in place for anything past season 3. So before work on season 4 could begin, Brendon and Adult Swim had to work out a contract for the season and any more Dethalbums.
Right now, all we know is that there will be a 12 episode season 4 with 15 minute episodes. Plus another Dethalbum (bump from AS). Brendon has hinted at a possible Metalocalypse movie since the first season. So that is still a maybe.

ugh. do we rly need more parody shows? there's already four of them (the three live actions + robot chicken). it seems way excessive. it's like [as] just has this huge list of tv genres worth parodying & won't stop til they get thru it.

metalocalypse isn't parodying a specific tv format. it may poke fun at some metal cliches but for the most part it differs from being a strict parody. the ATHF detective angle was dropped very quickly. VB i've never seen so I can't say. delocated I wouldn't say is really a straight parody. it's making fun of reality shows but the humour isn't completely derived from the fact that it's a parody like with the other shows. if anything it simply uses the reality show format as the basis for something much more intricate. same thing with space ghost & the brak show, the setting of the shows may be parodies of certain formats but the prominent source of humour isn't the fact that they're making fun of cliches.

I was referring to Loiter Squad, and meant it sarcastically as mostly no one that's heard of it here is looking forward to it.
But yeah, the Eric Andre Show looks like it has potential.

While he has artists at Titmouse to do the animation, he is still head writer and the only one who writes the music. He also use to be the only one who recorded the music (he did all the guitars) with a drum machine (first season). But when he hired Gene Hoglan to do the drums for the first Dethalbum, Gene also started to do the drums on the show. They even redid the main theme with Gene drumming.
Plus Brendon does the voices for Nathan Explosion, Skwisgaar Skwigelf, Pickles, Charles Ofdensen, and assorted others. Tommy Blacha, though he no longer is in the production end- writing, producting, etc- still does the voices for Murderface, Toki, Rockzo, and assorted others.

I honestly wouldn't even consider Delocated to be straight-up parody. The show has been very much behind-the-camera with all of the meetings with the network producers and whatnot, stuff you would never see a reality show do on camera.
I've seen it called a mockumentary-like sitcom (like The Office), but which I would say fits, but the show dropped the whole talking to the camera "truth booth" things after the pilot. I'd say it's a single-camera* sitcom that revolves around a guy with a reality show.
*A single-camera sitcom with cameras everywhere. Why? That's just Jon He Does It.
EDIT: what SODMGBASEDBOYZ pretty much said.

I don't think Adult Swim was ever serious about it premiering on April 1st, writing for Season 6 only began at the start of the year, so, it won't be premiering for a while yet.
