Moral Orel stealing an ATHF slot on weeknights is coming at a hefty price, indeed. Though that does make Moral Orel staying on weeknights for a while seem promising. And seeing as we're getting (at least) a new Moral Orel special because of the great weeknight ratings (Dino did say that on Facebook, right?), I'll happily give up Thursday live action repeating on Sunday.

There are a couple notable changes to the schedule:

On Sundays, the 9pm hour has been changed once again, to Venture Bros. and a double helping of Harvey Birdman. ATHF moves to 12:30 followed by Metalocalypse at 12:45.
This is surprising, because normally AS does not play TV-MA rated shows at 9pm. They've put VB on at 9 before, so they must have stopped caring about putting something pseudo-kid-friendly on at 9.
Birdman's return is also surprising. Sunday at 9 is a ratings dead zone and always has been, even with American Dad, Robot Chicken, and ATHF in that slot, so I wonder if AS is going to be more creative with 9pm knowing that they won't get ratings no matter what they do.

In DVR Theater news, Delocated begins its run tonight, presumably to catch people up with where the show is now.

On a sort of related, personal note, I'm really enjoying weeknights at the moment, well, after the end of the Ad Nauseum Block ends. I love these earlyish episodes of ATHF, I enjoy Squidbillies, and of course Tim and Eric for the nightcap. Thursdays with Delocated, CH, and NTSF added to the mix make it all the more enjoyable.

Birdman EARLY on the schedule makes me happy.

It's not the first time Venture Bros has led off at 9:00pm, but it still seems surprising that they would lead off with a potential MA show.  Then again, aren't there some MA Robot Chicken episodes?  Seems to me they are growing less and less concerned with an MA at 9pm than they were at first. 

Then again, [adult swim] suffers from the problem of combating its programming against that of Fox... and with the strength of the Fox lineup, [as] will lose almost every time.

I love Birdman, but why are they restarting Metalocalypse again? At this rate we're never going to see anything but the first 5-10 episodes of season one.

It seems like Robot Chicken has always been TV-MA, but maybe that rating was added retroactively. Either way, I need that Blu-ray.

Well, Birdman and Venture Bros are gone.

They are still on the long-term schedule, but on the short schedule, it appears that 10PM KOTH has moved to 9PM. 9:30 now has 2 episodes of Squidbillies, and 10pm has 2 episodes.

Hooray for variety! Squidbillies and Robot Chicken! Two shows that Adult Swim never airs.

Oh great, instead of triple ATHF we get triple Squidbillies, what an exciting change of pace.

On the plus side, they aren't being dumb and restarting Metalocalypse again! That's exciting at least. And I like Metal better than Birdman to be honest, so I'm happy.

I had been looking forward to Birdman @ 9:30p for two weeks now....

It so deserves a run at a slot better than 4am for once.

VB + HB seemed like such a good duo to put out there, changing it like this last minute just makes no sense.

What's nice about Metalocalypse on Saturdays, is if they keep to the schedule, the 3rd season finale will be on the night before the 4th season premiere.
