Me neither. But Aqua Teen/Unit is the other most popular AS series so maybe it was a one off. at least i hope so, AUPS1 will look out of place with the other DVD's and i hope they don't make that a permanent change.

Maybe some DVDs would have that case, and some won't.  Like, the ones that have already been released in foldout cases willl continue to be foldout, and new ones like Eagleheart and Delocated would be amaray. I would hope they'd all be foldout,  but I don't know, we'll see.

Happy New Year everyone! Looks like there will be no [as] releases in March 2012 according to the Madman B2B site.

No idea. Maybe Madman likes to save it so DVD releases get two releases released together?

With the new channel FX coming soon to FOXTEL do you think [adult swim] could find a home there? or would you want it to stay on The Comedy Channel? Not all [adult swim] series are exclusively "comedy" (Moral Orel Season 3, 12 Oz. Mouse, etc) so it could mean we have a wider range of shows. Maybe even the anime could come back.

They could also have it on every night! I would love to see every [as] show on there, along with Space Ghost! I wanna see those episodes you can't get on DVD!

Of course this is just wishful thinking! Me hoping it comes to FX if it means more shows but it probably won't move channels again.

I emailed FOXTEL, suggesting it.

I don't think so. I'll up for it, of course, the more the merrier. I think it's destined to stay on The Comedy Channel for now. I remember hearing some talk back in 2009 though  that Foxtel was considering a 24/7 Adult Swim channel, and that even Madman sent out a survey to it it's members asking what percentage of anime and comedy should the channel have. I was really excited for it...........nothing happened, without even a word on what was going on.

Although, Archer would be a good fit on the new FX channel, given it's on the American FX and everything.

Probably wasn't finanically viable enough, and probably not enough programming to last 24/7 in the long temr

Here's the [as] line-up for Jan 28th, Saturday 2012:

00:00am Robot Chicken
00:15am Eagleheart
00:30am Childrens Hospital
00:45am Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!
01:00am Metalocalypse
01:15am Frisky Dingo
01:30am Aqua Teen Hunger Force
01:45am Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law

Looks like they are not going into Venture Bros. Series 3. That is a shame. Repeats of Frisky Dingo and Aqua Teen Hunger Force again... :smileysad: I want some new shows or some older shows which haven't been on Australian TV before. The Aqua Teen Hunger Force episode is "Dickesode."

I have a feeling that next show to premiere will be NTSF:smileyfrustrated:D:smileyfrustrated:UV:: ; it seems The Comedy Channel doesn't want to touch the older shows like Space Ghost and Sealab - but prove me wrong Comedy Channel, prove me wrong.

Either that or Delocated. Though i do have a feeling that sometime soon Squdbillies will come on the block aswell (its accessible and formulaic father son and family humor does make a good candidate)

With the success of Frisky Dingo and Archer, i can see Sealab being on the block soon aswell.

Space Ghost should've been on the block a long time ago dammit!

Maybe someone email them and ask about it. I think i will.

Also, when i went into JBHIFI the other day to grab ATHF6, i found the first volume of Harvey Birdman in a plastic cover instead of the cardboard one. I checked it like 5 times to make sure it was official and it was. Maybe Madman has decided to using the normal amaray covers for all future releases , maybe becoming too costly for the cardboard ones? i hope not but after seeing that it looks like it may be the case.

Got the FOXTEL magazine for February and it lists that Mary Shelley's Frankenhole is coming to The Comedy Channel February 11, Saturday 2012 at 6:45pm after Robot Chicken. Also Stroker and Hoop will premiere Early Saturday Morning at 12:15am Febraury 25th. This is great news! I've never seen those two shows before. :smileyhappy:

Thats fan-bloody-tastic!

MSF is one of the best shows on Adult Swim right now. I downloaded season 1 because its the same genius who made Moral Orel (Dino) and its hilarious., and unlike Orel where it has a serious undertone, this is just simple yet highbrow/lowbrow adult humor!

FUN FACT: One of the episodes were banned from airing so i wonder if it will air it here?

I havent seen Stroker and Hoop, its weird that it starts so early but i dont care. Maybe this is a sign of things to come. Stroker And Hoop DVD? Madman has been awfully silent, has anyone sent an email to them?

Having seen all of Stroker & Hoop, this show's not too crash hot. It's okay, it's not a bad watch, it gets better as it goes along but I can't help but think if there was a second season it really could've become a great show because I thought it had the potential.

Frankenhole, not really a surprise, given Moral Orel seems to be a success over here what with the DVD releases, and all the runs it gets on The Comedy Channel (Comedy haven't aired Season 3 have they? For obvious reasons of course). I'm kinda iffy on it for, but I do prefer it to Moral Orel.

I checked the FOXTEL Guide Online for Feb 11th and instead of Mary Shelley's Frankenhole it is a repeat of Robot Chicken Series 4. Maybe it has been delayed? Disappointing news though. :smileysad:

And we should find if there will be any [as] DVD releases in April on Feb 1st at the Madman B2B website.

OK, looking at the Madman B2B site for April 2012, I see no [as] releases...

Maybe they haven't added all the DVD releases for that month yet but in previous experiences with the Madman B2B site for [as] releases they are usually listed when the site updates the first time on the releases of the month.

Madman said Delocated was delayed until 2012 so that at least should be coming soon to Australia right?

OK, I emailed Daniel at Madman to ask about the [as] dvd releases and he said this:

Daniel Chlebowczyk wrote:
Thanks for your email. We definitely still release Adult Swim, but have not any titles scheduled for the time being as we’re attempting to line up with titles that have been broadcast locally for more awareness.

We’re working with the Australian license holder on this but for now, there will be a bit of a wait.

Regards

Daniel Chlebowczyk

This could explain why Comedy Channel is screening Stroker & Hoop. Anyway, it's great news that they are still going to release Adult Swim here in Australia. :smileyhappy:

dang :smileysad: there doesn't seem to be anything new from the realms of Adult Swim for us anytime soon.

Going to a new topic for a second, this is in regards to anyone that owns Moral Orel Volume 3.

Took me forever to get it, but i got it and i dont know if this has already been brought up already but here goes.

POSSIBLE SPOILER WARNING AHEAD!

in the first episode "Numb" there seems to be some suspiciously missing audio in the scene at arond the 4:44 mark where Bloberta goes inside the room with her...um, Hammer Jack :smileywink:. Its after she goes inside there is nothing heard before the following scene with the doctor.

I watched a online broadcast version jsut to see im not crazy and sure enough there seems to be some audio missing.

Maybe it could be that i got a defective DVD, but it seems that the audio was a little too precise to be dismissing as such.

I dunno, was this censorship on behalf of Madman or at the discretion of the creators? Madman has never censored anything besides a few borderline hentai scenes in some anime movies, but then why would they cut it out anyways if Bloberta's scream/####/etc comes back later in another scene in the same episode.

Its probably more plausible that i got a defective DVD perhaps, its not the first time i bought a new AS dvd that didnt work (2nd infact if its the case) but i'd thought i would ask (including an email to Madman) if anyone knows that this is across all of the MO Vol 3 DVDs or just mine.

I have Moral Orel Volume 3 and it does the same thing on my DVD for "Numb". Also I think there is some audio missing when Orel asks Bloberta why she married Clay after the song "No Children" fades out.

I got a Brak Show question - okay, so on the Brak Show American Voiced Mum was replaced by British Voice Mum in the episode "Pepper" and on the DVD, to match up with the rest of the episodes; American Voiced Mum voice track was used.
Do you two remember, if you watched The Brak Show on Adult Swim back when it was on Cartoon Network over here, American Voiced Mum being used in more episodes then in the US, up to the episode "Runaway"; then in the "Dinner Party" episode being the first British Voiced Mum one in Australia? I ask this because watching "New Brak", "Feud" and "Runaway" is so weird for me now watching on the DVDs with British Voiced Mum because I remember watching it on TV with American Voiced Mum and just wondering if anyone knows what the deal was there, I mean, Australia must have been sent different versions of the episodes or something.  Am I going crazy, or do you two remember as well?

I seem to recall that the first time i noticed British Mom being used was in the episode "Runaway", but never before that. I also do remember "New Brak" having the American voice when it was on TV so nah i dont think youre crazy :smileyhappy: Sadly thats all i remember.  I suppose the only way to really check it out is to find a broadcast version, perhaps a torrent or something (since you already bought the DVD and given your money)

Im certain that they would have done the same thing for the R1 release aswell.

I also read somewhere that the ATHF episode "the cybernetic ghost of christmas past from the future" they re-recorded the robots voice for the DVD because it was apparently too indecipherable in the broadcast version.

Okay so its evident in all the DVDs then.

And yeah you're right there is some more audio missing in that scene you mentioned, and the conversation between Orel and Bloberta is alot more quite aswell.

I think i'll email Madman about it but i doubt they would have tamper with it (Madman has a history of never self-censoring their releases unless it already comes pre-censored like most AS titles-and that last scene was hardly risque) and it was infact at the discretion of the creators.
