[adult swim] Australia (Comedy Channel)

[ Edited ]

This thread can be about [adult swim] in Australia.

Does anyone watch The Comedy Channel's [adult swim] block? It's on Wednesday Nights. Here's the current schedule:

20:30pm Robot Chicken
20:45pm Robot Chicken
21:00pm Titan Maximum
21:15pm Aqua Teen Hunger Force

I would like The Comedy Channel to screen 12 Oz. Mouse and I've emailed them a couple of times asking for them to screen it but they haven't replied. I would really appreciate it if any australian [adult swim] fans would email The Comedy Channel and ask for 12 Oz. Mouse to be screened. If you wanted to of course. Here's the link to their email address if you want to help me out - http://www.thecomedychannel.com.au/Contact.aspx

The next [adult swim] DVD to be released in Australia is Superjail! Season One which gets released on April 7th, Wednesday 2010.

Do you watch the [adult swim] block on Comedy Channel? What's your opinion on it?

I'm a yank, so don't have much to add.

You're block sounds terrible though. Robot Chicken and Titan Max and ONE aqua teen.

Sorry mate, hope y'all get some better shows added down the road.

Yeah, I definitely think we should get more shows. Like 12 Oz. Mouse :smileyvery-happy: and I would also really like Moral Orel to return so I can see episodes which haven't been released on DVD yet.

And for those who want to know here's what other [adult swim] shows we've had in the past on Comedy Channel: Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law and Moral Orel.

We used to have [adult swim] on CARTOON NETWORK before they took it off and the block came to Comedy Channel in 2008. We had more shows then: Space Ghost Coast to Coast, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Sealab 2021, Harvey Birdman - Attorney at Law, The Venture Bros., Tom Goes To The Mayor, and Squidbillies.

^ Oops, I forgot that we also had Brak Show when CARTOON NETWORK had the [adult swim] block. Sorry for the double post.

wow so you had all the classics when it was on CN.
Hope you guys eventually get shows like Frisky Dingo, The Boondocks, Xavier Renegade Angel, Home Movies, and Superjail. Those are some of the good ones you haven't listed there.

I think that after taking away all those shows and leaving you nothing but Robot Chicken and one episode of Aqua Teen they should let you watch them online. Pretty sorry of them to get you hooked on the good ones and then do that to you.

We actually had Home Movies on CARTOON NETWORK as I remember seeing The Wedding episode on there. I didn't think of listing that but I should have. I also think Mission Hill has aired here on CARTOON NETWORK in [adult swim] but I haven't personally seen it on there. I've just read on websites that Mission Hill has aired here.

As for The Boondocks, COMEDY CHANNEL does air it but I don't think it's a part of [adult swim] here. According to wikipedia it doesn't air with the [adult swim] banner (logo?) I haven't personally seen The Boondocks on Comedy Channel. The Boondocks isn't airing on COMEDY CHANNEL at the moment.

Yeah, [adult swim] does blow over here in Australia - but at least Madman Entertainment is releasing all the DVDs (thank God)

Whilst [adult swim] was better when it was on Cartoon Network before it was on the Comedy Channel, it still was treated pretty crappy - most of the time nothing but repeats; with "new" episodes being aired TWO years after they're aired in the USA! And only 90 minutes a night, with comedy nights being on Friday and Saturday.

I'm very glad Madman got the releasing rights, otherwise I would've shot some people *shifty eyes*

Also, Birdmannnnnn you forgot to mention that Harvey Birdman and Moral Orel have both aired on The Comedy Channel's [adult swim] previously.

P.S. Barely related at all to [adult swim], but I eagerly await Archer's Australian premiere on March 7th! (on completely different AUS channel) Any Australians reading this that were a fan of Sealab and/or Frisky Dingo: WATCH IT! Even if your not.......STILL WATCH IT!

ZorakFan3271, I think I mentioned Comedy Channel airing Harvey Birdman and Moral Orel on Post #4 of this thread. :smileyhappy: And do you watch [adult swim] on Comedy Channel or do you just watch the DVDs instead? I mainly only watch Titan Maximum on Comedy Channel.

Yeah, I noticed that.......I must've skimmed over it. Sorry

I rely on DVDs (and the internet) for my adult swim viewing and do not watch it on The Comedy Channel for I do not have said channel :smileysad: Though if I did, I'll probably just watch Titan Maximum given I already have Robot Chicken and Aqua Teen on the DVD (unless they put on an new shows, or new episodes of RC and ATHF I haven't seen).

That's okay ZorakFan3271. :smileyhappy: I also rely on the DVDs and yeah I only watch Titan Maximum because I've already seen the Robot Chicken and Aqua Teen episodes (I own the Aqua Teen DVDs and my brother owns the Robot Chicken DVDs.)

all i can say is that at least you still have [AS]. [Adult Swim] died a slow death in southern pacific Asia, but they are showing The Boondocks on Animax.

Just to let people know, [adult swim] still airs Wednesdays at 8:30pm (with the same line-up) but now also airs every weekday at 3:00pm for a half-hour showing Moral Orel and Robot Chicken.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force Volume 07 is released June 16th here.

Frisky Dingo is a great show! Great to see it come on australian TV (only took them four years and one cancellation). I won't be watching it cuz, alas no comedy channel and the fact I already have the first season dvd but I will be telling (and by telling I mean annoying) people about this show and how they should watch it.

Here's hoping they'll be adding more shows so they could give [adult swim] more exposure over here. Cuz it needs all the exposure it can get

Im glad they have got a new show on the aussie Adult Swim block.Even though i already have the first season on DVD (ive yet to get the 2nd because im pretty much broke all the time) i will be watching and also spreading the word (ahem irritating people aswell) about Frisky Dingo.

and maybe instead of so much robot chicken, maybe they can show another show like saaaaaay Venture Bros or Space Ghost or if they want to take it to the extreme,Xavier or Tim And Eric.Of course its just wishful thinking.

I wonder if people will figure out that Frisky Dingo is connected to Archer on Fox8?

If they play close attention to the end credits, they probably would. (The thinking man would pair up Frisky Dingo with Sealab - someone make a note of it)

About Robot Chicken, I do get why they play it all the time (cause really, Robot Chicken is the only show that people really know about from [adult swim] given its more accessible, mainstream show and it gets the "Family Guy" audience) but yeah, I do wish from looking at that schedule there wasn't so much Robot Chicken because as much I love Robot Chicken they could use some more shows. Venture Bros. is a possibility, because I think the Comedy Channel are going for a little more wide-reaching shows from the [as] lineup.

But overall, I don't really care cause I gets the dvds. And also I'm waiting until [adult swim] returns to its rightful home at Cartoon Network (aaah the memories)

I second that. The only upside about Adult swim on the comedy channel is more exposure as their is but a small minority of people who love and or know its existence but yes it will be an awesome day when it goes back on Cartoon Network.

And i cant wait till Moral Orel Vol2 comes out!!!!!!

Yeah, I think they probably mainly chose Frisky Dingo because it is made by the creator of Archer. Not saying Frisky Dingo is a bad show because I enjoy it. (I have Series 1 and 2 on DVD.) Harvey Birdman is now going to be repeated 3:00pm weekdays and 10:15pm Wednesday nights so I think they should have put a different show in there. ZorakFan3271 said Sealab 2021 and I think it would fit in there with Frisky Dingo nicely. Or they could show my suggestion 12 Oz. Mouse but I'm kinda giving up on trying to get that to air on Australian TV.

And i'm also looking forward to Moral Orel Volume 2! :smileyvery-happy:
