Finally!!!! Man I've been waiting sooooo long for them to finally announce a Borderlands 2. Since it will be a long break between the first and second I'm expecting them to make a truly awesome sequel. I love the original Borderlands with a passion and have probably dumped 100+ hours into it. It's my second favorite Xbox 360 so pretty much, this is awesome!

Helllll yeah.
Bet the PC version makes you be connected online 100% of the time, though. Not getting the PC version anyway, but .. you know.

This is good news. Just, this time can there be actual PvP and not crappy split-screen and dueling stuff? It made Borderlands end-game pretty dull, and finding jacked up weapons in Secret Armory and Claptrap totally pointless. Only thing to worry about then would be modded weapons... but I'm sure they'll fix that problem.

I loved the first one. Has to be the most game time I have put into any console game since Temco Bowl. I wonder if it could have come out sooner if not for Duke Nukem.

I was kinda hoping to see more Borderlands stuff come out of Gamescon, but apparently at PAX this weekend there is suppose to be gameplay footage and maybe a playable build too. I hope so at least, I'm really curious to see the game in action. Get a feel for how the gameplay has changed, what the UI will look like this time around, how the game looks and just see how it's coming along. Gametrailers does have a nice little interview up for it from Gamescon.
I'm really happy to hear him say 2012 for the release just because the initial announcement left some room for a possible 2013 release. Also it sounds like that the action skill for the "Gunzerker" is dull wielding. I could be wrong, maybe each character has a unique passive trait or everyone can do it, but it sounds like that's his action skill. Curious how they will make it work. Does he just get to do it for 20 seconds? Also a bit of a different take on the action skill, but I like it. Really curious how many playable character there are and what their action skills will be and skill trees for that matter.

I just wanted to add, Siren has also been a confirmed class for Borderlands 2. I doubt it'll work completely the same way as it did in Borderlands 1, but Siren has honestly become my favorite class to play when soloing, so I'm glad to see it return.
