I stopped at Lordran with both my characters.  I created a female Wanderer and a male Pyromancer.  I have to say, I actually like the Pyromancer a bit better.  There is something about running around with tattered robes and an axe, and lobbing fire that appeals to me.  XD

I'm enjoying the Bandit. I reached Soul level 10 last night just wandering around and killing zombies. It felt good having a strong melee character for once.

Oh! Also! I found out that you do not want to go down until you go up. I REPEAT! DO NOT GO DOWN! There are these ghosts down there that WILL kill you.

Thanks for the heads up. 

I had a good thought that going downhill would be a bad idea, since those **beast** skeletons seem to be highly resistant to physical attacks, fast, and all around annoying.  The only thing that seemed problematic about uphill were the dudes tossing bombs, but I think I can handle that.

I sort of want to start another class, and go through the opening area... >_______________>;

Also, I'm updating the OP to wiki links and addtional reviews, FYI.

Going up is definitely easier. And protip - use that falling attack. It does wonders against the Taurus Demon. Doing that a few times kills it easily.

I'm kinda lost right now. I've gone throught the Undead Berg and got to the armored boar, found a mystery key, and am now unsure where to go. I cant get past that stupid dragon...

What gift did everyone start with?

Another tip, no matter how tempting, dont attack the giant guys with the horned helmets. Or the knight after the boar. >_<

I killed one of those giant knights already...was actually kind of simple.

Do you have magic? Cause a longsword definitely didn't cut it for me.

Use firebombs and only attack when his shield is down.

i ended up kiling two of those knights. the black one with the long sword and knight shield and the big one that has this big sword with a ball tip . master key does do some good but i'm wondering what the other items do.

Oh I do have firebombs again, I should try that. The first time I attacked one of those guys I didn't think it would be that strong. I was killed pretty easily by it. XD The second time was a little while later and I just felt like trying to kill it. It didn't go so well though. >_< I wouldn't attack when it has it's shield up - not against and enemy that strong.


The Knight, the one with the Knight's shield and cape, I have only attacked once. I knew better than to do it. So far both times an enemy has had their back turned to me it's been a mistake to attack. That one didn't kill me though, I just attacked, saw how little damage I did, pillaged the body in front of him and then ran for my life.



On a side note, I really like that you can actually hear enemies approaching. I got to a later point and when I turned the corner there was a guy with a spear and shield. I thought nothing of this so I got ready to fight him... then I heard the sound of loud armor. I turn around and it's another one of those Knights. That bastid was trying to sneak up on me. I ran from that one too. >_>

I'll go back to that part when I have more time. Unfortunately I have to get going to work. Like. Right now. **beast**.

Soo, GameStop fvcked me over big times.

We had two DS CE reserved at a store we lived by before. Since we moved, we also moved our reserves, and well, what the facking dumkbass did, is canceled our CE and just reserved regulars....

So yeah.

Depending on when you pre-ordered it, they may of been out of CE. I was talking with some of my buddies who work at GameStop and they said they ran out of CEs around last month, which is why I didn't get one. I didn't even pre-order this game until yesterday.

I believe you get a hard metal case and a map of the city.

Not really anything special. Especially since there are already maps of the city on the DS wikia page

A very nice metal case, an artbook, and a code to download DS related goodies. It was completely free too which is why its extra awesome.

ok so i'm completely stuck already. so i guess i find another place to go. and it's not because of bosses i just don't see any way of progressing where i am

i beat the demon on the plateform and were the red dragon is. i don't think i can pass the bridge because it burnt me alive. and the door near there is locked so i can't on in there. and going down isn't an option because those ice demons are too strong. so i'm just wandering now and i'm also thinking of making a faith based character. i figure i'll just go back to the first bonfire and check on the elevator that takes you down or the graveyard area
