Stun gun is absolutely amazing, it was my main weapon of choice on my first playthrough. I kept the tranq rifle for odd situations but I found that it wasn't as useful. Stun gun also works really well for the first two bosses, I'm not sure on the third as I sort of cheated on that one. Brought in one of the turret guns from earlier in the level and placed it in the boss room. Was epic.

I am doing a second playthrough now as a run and gun sort of thing, the levels feel so much shorter now . It's also amazing how no one seems to care I'm a murderer - I thought for sure "someone" would have a comment on my killing of every cop in the police station.

I'm just in Hengsha for the 2nd time, and did the epic gunfight in order to save Malik. I had 32 rounds of my newly upgraded explosive revolver, so I said why not. I usually play pacifist against most enemies, but Belltower seem to trigger the murderous streak in me. :smileyvery-happy:

for those of you who have beat the game, is there any type of game + or something? would be a nice feature, but i can see why they wouldn't want to incorporate it in a game such as this.

Similar to Paul's and Manderley's responses to JC's methods?

I was kind of surprised as well, because the usage of lethal vs. non-lethal has always been a major component of both DX1 and DX2. There's never really any rules. You can kill everyone if you want to, but it did affect characters' dispositions toward both JC and Alex. It left it up to your own personal preference, and on multiple playthroughs you almost developed a sense of ethic towards characters on a television screen and the different factions.

But to be honest with you, it doesn't feel like characters react to you differently whether you gunned everyone down or went in without firing a single stun prod round. They react to how you handle objectives, and I would be fine with that for any other title, but it was a major disappointment to me in that this is the type of stuff these games are known for, and it just isn't there.

Oh well. The game was still great. What matters more is that they didn't butcher the lore by making a prequel.

And I know how they could make another prequel and perfectly bridge the gap between Human Revolution and the original game, but I'm more interested in seeing them re-release the first game before they do that.

"Secret" ending reminded me of the end of MGS1 with the Ocelot and Solidus phone call.

Spoiler
Also made me hate Megan even more. I sincerely wish we could of killed her, she seemed more like the villain than Zhao. I wouldn't be surprised if she was secretly Illuminati and only helped Jensen at the end since Darrow went rogue.

Another title that dealt with the Northwest War and the creation of MJ12 would be really nice.

If they do remake the first using HR's engine, I'm curious if they will stick to the old skill/aug system, keep HR's, or do a mix of both.

I found a stun gun... and it is amazing. >_< So much better than the stupid tranq rifle. Gah, I wish I had had this thing from the beginning. I mean, the tranq gun is pretty worthless if you run out of energy and have nearby enemies. The stun gun, not so much.

Also I finally got to China. That first boss was hard too... I think having never entered combat in the game prior to the boss made it the most difficult. It took me a bit to get used to running away from someone and dodging bullets. And smart grenades. Seriously, what was up with those things? They could go around pillars and into those little side rooms and they killed me in one hit. >_<

So far all of my upgrades have gone into hacking, batteries, and the invisibility. I was going to use it on the thing that lets you better influence conversations, but I've been doing just fine with those.

I didn't bother with batteries until late game since it only charges up to 1 by itself, which is pretty lame. There should of definitely been an upgrade that lets it recharge two/three/etc.

I focused mainly on hacking, got social early, then was pretty all over the place. Stronger arm, inventory, high jump and icarus landing are all essential IMO. They open up a ton of possibilities no matter what your playstyle.

First boss is sauce if you have a the eye aug that make you immune to concussion grenades.

Second boss is easy if you have the aug that makes you immune to EMP/Electrical charges.

I'm really bummed about the battery recharging as well. I mean, how can you have such a high level of technology, but can only recharge one battery? It's beyond silly. Still, I needed the batteries for the invisibility thing. There are times it's just a lot easier to go invisible than to try and maneuver around enemies.

I have been wanting to get the Icarus Landing thing, but just haven't. I may now that I've upgraded my hacking all the way - well, to level five and maxed out for stealth hacking. I did upgrade my inventory a bit since I kept running out of space. I'll work on that a bit more too. I did get the stronger arm early on, it's nice to be able to move all sorts of heavy crap. :smileyvery-happy:

Definitely don't have either of those things... or the Praxis to get them. Course I'm nowhere near the second boss so I have time to get it.

It's just hard to throw the combat aspect in when you've been sneaking the entire game.

Basically, for the second boss, you want the the one thing under the Derminal Aug that makes you immune to electricity. Because, beating the boss easily involves you shooting these plates on the wall that charges the whole floor with electricity. It stuns the boss and allows you to open up a can of whoop ass.

Also, don't try to CQC the boss. I tried and I got my ass handed to me :smileyvery-happy:

She can even CQC you when she's stunned. That's some real skill.

While we're on the topic of easy boss wins, bring a laser rifle for the last boss. Hack the level 5 console, use rifle, takes maybe 20 seconds and fight's over. :smileyvery-happy:

I just destroyed the center thing on the final boss and then just used the plasma rifle on the robots that came out after me.

It was actually funny as hell, because I would annihilate them before they could leave their little housing unit.

With fully upgraded revolver w/ exploding rounds this fight was pretty quick...

yeah, i'm not playing on a hard difficulty but i think my strategy would work regardless...

stun gun when she charges you, unload explosive revolver rounds in her face while she's stunned.

Just completed the game,

and did Serif's ending. Not sure what made me choose it, but I was pretty much a company man, and at the beginning I was always positive about my new augmentations/power.

If you have immunity to electricity, you only have to shoot the panels and then unload on her. She's stunned far longer and the electricity causes damage.

I multitooled the console and then hulk smashed the wall and just waited it out. The electricity doesn't hit you there.

I didn't shoot a single bullet. Well, sort of didn't.
