Tired of there not being an official discussion thread like ten days away from its release in the U.S.! >_>

Ten days, pretty much everyone. The fifth generation of Pokemon will be upon us. This time, we're taken to the Unova region, which is apparently based off of America, and we'll be seeing 156 new Pokemon in this region. From the epicness of Reshiram and Zekrom to the uninspired Klink, Klank, and Klinklank. This is the thread to discuss, trade, and battle all things Pokemon Black and White.

Ahhh! There's too many!

I'll probably get this one. I always buy one for myself and one for my brother so we can play together and trade pokemon and stuff. But the problem is that he only ever really wants to do is get a Vulpix. Every game he'll play juntil he can get a Vulpix and then he's gone. He says that he wants to play this one but I think I'll make him buy his own copy so he has a stake in it.

Can't wait. I think I am going to get Pokemon White because I want the Black Dragon.

This will also be the first Pokemon game I can battle and trade with people on here online. I already know Genis_Sage is going to get Pokemon Black(at least I think he said he is) so we can trade for sure.

I haven't played Pokemon since Gold on the colorless gameboys. I just can't get into it with all these new pokemon... Just not the same.

ive been saying the same thing ever since gold/silver that these pokemon are just getting weirder and weirder.

but whats kept me coming back is the meat of the game. catching them all.

This.  Also, I'm just about nearing completion of the Pokedex in Diamond, close to having seen/obtained all 493.  The first time I've done so since Silver.  The original Silver  It's much more of an accomplishment now, sorta.  At least for another week or so.

Anyway I paid off my Black copy and got all the event Pokemon so far.

It's gonna be a long week! Geez, I need to find my SoulSilver and get the Celebi for it...

Buy it from Best Buy, get $10 in RZ credit

Buy it from Amazon.com, get $10 Video Game credit.

I'm personally choosing the Amazon option. Won't get the game on release (since it's a Sunday), but waiting that extra day is definitely worth the extra money and not having to pay sales tax.

March 6th-12th, if you buy Pokemon Black from Kmart you can get White 50% off. Have to buy them at the same time, but for those of you who absolutely love the games and want both or can't decide which to get, this is a pretty great deal.

Also, I dunno why I didn't mention it, but if you buy the DS Black bundle you can get any other Pokemon game free. Aside from White I'm assuming.

i actually just sold my DS to a friend yesterday, but i'm going to use the money towards a 3DS, so i'll pick up White in a month when i get the new one.

Moderately excited for these games. Kinda got burned out on them since the DS games officially became part of official organized Pokemon League play and that aspect started to really overshadow the card game. I'm a lot more into the cards these days, but I plan on getting Black eventually. Probably not at release like I did Diamond and Pearl but within a few months of release.

About a month ago I decided to collect one card of each of the pokemon which is a lot more difficult than collecting them all in the game. I managed to accomplish this last Thursday. When the Black and White cards come out I'll have a lot more to add to the list but I'll have to wait for a few sets to come out before a card of each new pokemon is released. Catching them all **grok** sometimes.
