Looks interesting...but I hope it's not just another repeat of RE5.

Driving humvees and dual-wielding f*cking miniguns or blowing up zombies from an AC-130 gunship while your naked black girlfriend shoots arrows at them just didn't feel like Resident Evil. At least this game has a few more interesting cameos...but if we don't get some tension building gameplay and just get another run and gun third person shooter you can count me out again.

It looks to be more action than any other RE game to date.  Whether that's a good thing or not remains to be seen.  Personally, I'd like to see a return to the classic style of gameplay for at least one game. 

The story looks to be more in line with RE2 and RE3, what with an entire city infected and Leon and Chris fighting to get out.  I didn't see them working in tandem but I'd love to see it happen. 

I dig the return of the classic zombie, who hasn't been seen within the main series since RE0 came out way back in 2002.

After playing the RE: Revelations demo on the 3DS I found myself impressed with it...it's more of a return to form than RE5 was...i'm a bit more excited for that game than this new announcement tbh.

BTW, anyone with a 3DS, I reccomend trying the demo for it from the E-shop.

Looks awesome. Leon is back, but he looks different. And sounds different.

Gameplay looks like it may not be too different from the past two titles, which I like a lot.

I was really excited until Chris showed up. It looks like Leon's segment is the only one that's going to be creepy while Chris' and the bald guy is going to be Gears of War.

They said there wasn't going to be a 6 and that it was going to reboot. As in, the next RE was going to be the equivalent of RE1 in a new timeline. And that it was going to focus on things from a new angle/style.

This not only is the same timeline, but appears to have the same clunky stop-aim-fire mechanics as all the others. I mean, it's coming out all the way at the end of the year and we're already getting a sidestory game that's updated those antiqued control schemes.

Love Leon...love zombies....love action...looks good. I'm only upset that they're not carrying through with what they originally said and do a complete reboot of the series....

The Leon section looks like it'll be amazing with the return of actual zombies and the city landscape, but when they shifted into Chris' scenario, it started going downhill with the same plagued locals mixed in with actual live enemies with guns. Hopefully, the game won't have the same clunky controls as the other games, and considering that it's going all-out with the action, hopefully Shadows of the Damned's "move quick while you aim" gameplay was a prototype for Mikami to work with in RE6.

That looks really good. I was kinda bored of Resident Evil after 5, but this one looks really interesting.

No way. The setting in in a modern city. Looks like there's a cover system that doesn't keep you completely safe. The combat looks a lot more exciting.

I usually hate games that drift away from it's original content, but this game looks really good to me.

Yeah, there's a setting change, but it still looked the same to me. Eh. Guess we'll see.

Some combat tweaks have been added as well, but it looks like it still plays like 5.

hmm... when i first saw the trailer, i was like:

- oh cool, you play as Leon again. in an infested city, no less. i'm really digging the atmosphere. and hey, hunnigan's here, with glasses, even. hey, who is the brunette (found out her name is Helena Harper) with him, wonder what she has to do with the story...

- okay, chris in china... alright, enemies with guns, they've been around before... cool, a cover system, nice it looks like you won't be safe behind cover all the time.

-new guy (possibly unmasked hunk?) with what looks to be ashley (maybe even sherry)? alright, always good to see a new face.

the way i see it, they're trying to appeal to series vets and newcomers who have only played RE4/5. i'm mostly interested to know what happens in the story (like who the mercenary dude is, who "that b!tch" chris was talking about). i'm pretty much going to get it when it comes out, though i don't know for what yet.

i'm wondering how the controls will be. if RE: Revelations is any indication, maybe we'll be able to strafe while aiming. it looks like they're adding actiony things like dives and melee weapons. i'm kind of excited for what happens in game since the director also directed the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure game.

Also I'll echo what everyone else was saying. Leon's part looked excellent, and then Chris' part looked like exactly what they should be getting away from and what I'm sick of.

With some changes to the release date.

Leon & Chris? In the same game? Finally thats what i was wating for.

This trailer makes me want to get it on day one.

I think they said november right? For the release date, in the trailer it shows a different date though im not sure if its for all regions. Game looks pretty sweet, and im liking the mix of gameplay between Leon and Chris.

Please dont screw this up Capcom.

Yeah, they moved the release date up a month to October.  Not sure what that means for the game.  I'd rather wait the month and have the game fully polished rather than have them rush it out.  This may have been done to put more time between the game's release and the Wii U's release.

There's actually a third playable character who is supposed to be the son of Wesker or something like that....and each character has its own unique perspective in the game.
