What games would you like to see sequels to but you know will never happen? 

 

 

 

For some reason I've been dying to play a sequel to the 2008 Prince of Persia, but they're never going to continue that storyline. :robotsad:

Legend of Dragoon was one of the best PS1 games. Always hoped for second installment.

As well as that Chrono Break that was heard of few years ago.

Have they said they wouldn't? I mean, it ended on a pretty blatant cliffhanger. Unless you're just talking from the sense that there's not been word of anything in a few years now, but I wouldn't run on such assumptions as a lot of studios pick up projects they haven't touched in a while. Eidos announced Thief 4 a year or so ago after putting the finishing touches on DX3, and they haven't worked on Thief since Deadly Shadows came out in 2004 ... so you never really know.

I would like a System Shock 3, but It looks like 2K will run their BioShock boner into the ground in the foreseeable future.

And perhaps a "sequel" is the wrong word, but I've always wanted Mistwalker to make a follow-up title to Lost Odyssey.
Well that was strange.

  • Megaman Legends 3
  • Jade Empire 2
  • A new Rogue Squadron game
  • A KOTOR game that isn't an MMORPG

There's probably others I'm not thinking of.

Alpha Protocol 2. The gameplay wasn't great, and neither were the graphics, but the storyline and characters were epic. Sales #### as a result of it's shortcomings thus no sequel will happen. Sadness...

No Skies of Arcadia sequel.

No Shining Force IV or even an updated and traslated III.

No Intelligent Qube sequel.

No Tomba! 3 sequel.

No Retro Game Challenge II sequel (unless you know Japanese).

No Road Rash sequel (was in the works but have been cancelled).

No Skitchin' sequel.

No, I don't.  Valve seems to have...evolved past it.  They don't seem to care about Half-Life anymore.  I even heard they're starting a whole new Team Fortress project.

Actually, I think Nintendo made a smart move by letting them go. The contract was up for renegotiation and Nintendo decided to pass on renewing.  Rare didn't leave Nintendo.  Rare was actually holding out for them. 

 

Rare went downhill very quickly after they went to Microsoft.  A lot of their old staff had left and the ones who remained weren't their most skilled people and came out with crap games.  Are they even around anymore?
