What's wrong? A 3DS now isn't as expensive as it was on launch day.

Before:$249.99

After: $169.99

The only way you could miss out on this is if it's Japan only, because a foreign game cannot play on a US 3DS due to region locking.

What happened to Strange Journey being four? Or is this just a remake (which would be fairly weird)?

If this is a new title I hope they go back to the third person camera overworld like with Nocturne. First person dungeon crawlers can be fun, but I really have to be in the mood for them these days.

I read that Strange Journey was just a "successor" to SMT and not really a true sequel. The reason being that it didn't take place in Tokyo like the other three did. I don't know how much of that to believe, though. They've been cranking out portable releases, so I really wouldn't be too surprised if it was a port of SJ.

I'm excited for it.. not too excited about having to get a 3DS for it though.. still not entirely sold on it. but we'll see.

It's not a successor. More like SMT If where it's part of the main series but isn't numbered.

They said the only reason why it isn't called SMTIV is like  you said. Doesn't take place in Japan.

I'm still playing Devil Survivor Overclocked. These freakin' Bel bosses are ####! Also have Strange Journey, but I've been ignoring that like most of my video games.

Lucifer was the one who was a challenge or those protect civillian missions.

Yep. It'll be priced at $50. I do hope Atlus pulls a Capcom and lower the MSRP down however if not, I'm willing to pay that much for a 3DS game. I think it's even lucky we are even seeing a mainline SMT game come here.
