Hey, remember the PSP?

Yet the PSP fades even closer to oblivion.

At least here, though i hear it's still thriving in Japan thanks to the beast that is Monster Hunter last time i heard.

Once they realize that the Vita isn't selling all that great the passport will hit the US.

At first, I was bummed out by this, I mean, PS has always been strong with backward compatibility, but then I realized that Vita is a completely different system from PSP. And they are remaking (altering) a whole lot of PSP games to be compatible with Vita and all it's features.

No, they're not. The games are just straight ports, and nothing I've read indicates that they'll get increased functionality beyond the second analog stick.

Oh you done it now, evilserge's Sony fanboy mode will kick in hard after that shocking but true revelation.

I don't see why. It's not like I dissed the system (seeing as I plan to get it myself when Gravity Rush, Sumioni, and P4: The Golden come out). Then again, fanboys are infamously illogical, so here's hoping he's not as bad as you seem to think.

Well, I dunno, there are a few titles for Vita that are the same as for PSP. Unless they are remaking the same games.

Either way, if someone already has a PSP, they might as well use that instead of trying to import to Vita.

They aren't remaking anything. A lot of the games are just straight ports of console titles while the downloadable PSP games will likely have functionality with the right analog stick. I don't see how pointing that out constitutes trolling.

I did say "knight" at the end, indicating it was directed towards knightstar.....

I want to play Vita games on my Vita, not PSP games.

They are releasing PSP titles under the Vita brand or are you just talking about their "plans" to add other missing PSP games to the PSN?

As far as I know all the PSP games can make some use of the second analog stick already, you're supposed to be able to map stuff to it.

I already seen Mod Nation Racers for Vita, I'm pretty sure it's the same game, but made for Vita.

Same goes for LittleBigPlanet.

Considering how shoddy the UMD transfer feature/support was set-up for the PSP x PSP Go this isn't a surprise at all.

Now, I will say that I am disappointed.  I would love to at least have the option to make good use of the PSP games that I do have, if I did get a Vita.  This is especially so after reading the 1up article on PSP to Vita game-upscaling.
