ability delay huh.. I thought that was my pc. :smileylol:

Are you experiencing any lag? I am but I'm running a cheap graphics card, and on a labtop to boot.

Nope. No lag, with max graphics.

There is a known ability delay among mostly ranged abilities. Basically, with some abilities, your damage will not hit until an animation is over. Like, for example, the Consular's Project. The rock is lifted, thrown, and THEN the damage pops up. This becomes excessively aggravating in PVP when someone is close to death, you use a ranged ability with an animation tied too it, and then in the midst of the animation, a heal goes off on your target preventing you from getting a kill.

It's currently being addressed by BioWare and has been recognized by them as an issue.

Also, a larger example of this is the Trooper's Mortar ability. In contrast to the Bounty Hunter's Death From Above, it's absolutely worthless in PVP. It takes 1.5 seconds for the first volley of Mortar's to go off because of the animation.

It happens for me with more then just ranged abilities. I use the health bar display so as long as that goes down it's cool.

but sometimes in intense fights it kind of stalls up... This is a computer issue though as far as I'm aware. my frame rate **noel**.

I know there's a Jedi Knight/Sith Warrior mirrored ability that has major ability delay, but I think it's intended ability delay...and then there's their main spamable which has a definite unintended ability delay. There's some melee abilities that have it....but, it's really troublesome for ranged classes...as a trooper, it gets REALLY, REALLY aggravating.

MY shadow strike has a significant delay about 45% of the time on my shadow. but its a really strong melee attack with alot of drawback and a quick thrust. plus the graphics for it is a glowing whole int the target.. which sometimes appears late.

I kinda want to play this, but I't looks like another warrior, priest, mage, healer mmo. Plus I'm waiting for The Secret World, which has no classes...

Several of the ability delay issues are being addressed in the next patch! YAY! Scoundrels are also getting the nerf stick.

while I really like it so far, it's not the best. UO was simply the best, better than all the rest.

however it was the best for completely different reasons, apples and oranges, the two are not really comparable.

I love BioWare. My new favorite MMO developer. They have taken amazing strides in making sure their game is as close to perfection as they can possibly get.

I like the game. I really #### at space combat but I think that's because I'm playing it on a laptop that doesn't have that great of hardware. I need a actual gaming rig :smileysad:

I'd be playing it right now if not for ME3....which is no big deal, honestly. Didn't really like that guild to begin with.

I just cancelled my subscription.

I'll probably be back in a month or so after 1.2(some of the changes sound awesome), but right now I can't motivate myself to play.

In the Q/A about the Legacy System this week, someone asked:

ViciousFett: Light and Dark active ability Legacy unlocks are obviously Alignment +/- 10000, but what about Neutral? Is it simply a matter of staying between light and dark 1? Or perhaps having at least 5k in each?

Daniel Erickson: The Neutral Legacy reward will not be coming in Game Update 1.2 I’m afraid, as true grey alignment advancement did not make the cut. It will appear as part of the full grey alignment advancement package in a later Game Update.

This is confirmation that there will be beneftis for neutral alignment, and that excite me :smileyhappy:

Loving the UI customization. Pretty much set up my SWTOR UI like I have my WoW UI setup.

Although I wish SWTOR had more action bars. 4 is very limiting...especially when you have a lot of stuff to use.

Funkstronaut: Superman is really star Daily Planet reporter, Clark Kent...No lie.
VashVSGoku: Really? But Who Are you?
Funkstronaut: I'm Wonder Woman...At least on tuesdays.
