Has anyone at all run into finding gloves that have 0 armor on them? I'm looking to take advantage of the Mage Armor perk, which is having no armor on grants X bonus to your mage armor spells. It'd be nice to be able to equip something on my hands that could be enchanted.

I'm still early in the game but I'm bummed by the lack of spells, you can't buy them from a lot of shops, and the tomes i've been finding are spells I already know, I don't have a single conjuration spell yet, which is my favorite discipline. But at the same time I haven't visited winterholm

The first town you're in there is a keep, inside that keep there is a man wearing hooded robes (room on the right when you're standing in the main hall), he sells tomes for magic. The spells you're able to learn are based on the level of that school. It seems like most town's castles have a magic advisor in them that sells tomes.

Spoiler
Heading to Winterholm is a great early choice if you plan on using magic. The questline there gives some really amazing gear for mages, absolutely ridiculous stuff. You won't NEED anything else for a while after doing the quest chain at Winterholm.

Meh. Best mod is definitely SPIDER BEARS. Even if you aren't an arachnophobe it's still awesome.

On someone mentioning end of thieves guild: I really wish I hadn't of completed it so early. Unbreakable lockpick >>>> crappy once a day powers you can get. At least until you're far enough to have the unbreakable lockpick perk...

From what I have read is that that mod was made for people who get freaked out by spiders......WTF People!? Really how are bears ever in any universe or time better than seeing Spiders!?

A lot of people are freaked out by arachnids, insects, pretty much all creepy crawlies. That's why they are creepy crawlies and not loveable huggable crawlies.

Average real life spiders don't freak me out like they used to, but I still hate them. Giant realistic looking ones (like in modern fantasy games) still freak me out a bit, I think it's the eyes...or the fact that they are basically representative of many of my childhood nightmares.

It's actually kind of amazing how fast no-spider mods come out for games these days. Either a lot of modders are arachnophobes or even people who aren't don't like looking at them.

But even if you ignore all of that I find the idea of bears dropping from the ceiling and marching towards you on hindlegs to be hilarious.

Anyone else done The Whispering Door quest?

Go to whiterun and get some rumors from the Bannered Mare. You need to be 20+ and progressed a bit through the story.

It gives you a sweet 2h sword that gets stronger if you kill your friends with it.

lol, my assasin will love that, when I play him

one thing I wish you could do was macro spells/abilities that are not favorited. that would unclog the favorite window for spells that you like but rarely use (light for example)

there is a new mod that adds custom macros (I think, haven't tried it out yet), and if thats the case I will love it forever and ever. it's not the one I posted a bit before

I've been busy, so I haven't played Skyrim as much as I'd like. I'm a lvl 8 kitty thief.

Has anyone come across funny glitches? I see rams that float above the ground, & some bandits that don't seem to make it to the ground after being killed... I've seen the youtubes on it and they are hilarious, esp the mammoth one where it flies up into the air...

My bf hates Skyrim but then again he's a Zelda fanboy.

I had a bugged horse, I went to the rebel camp south of town and you can just take their horses.

whenever I dismounted it always tried to go back to the camp, but if I fast traveled it would appear wherever with me. about half the time I dismounted it though it would fly/hover 1000 feet behind where I dismounted, zoom about 500 feet into the air and then plunge into the ground, through the world.

I tried it and for some reason it didn't work on any of my partners or my wife, so I just reloaded the game before I killed everyone.

I was walking through a field and some random dragon just fell out of the sky dead. It had a name that I forget but it began with an M.  The dragon didn't decay and I didn't get it's soul but I was able to loot some bone and scale off of it.

I just thought this was strange cause it was right after I killed a camp of 2 giants and 5 mammoths.

Anyone know the soul level of monsters yet?

I had a horse randomly drop on my head from nowhere. I just pretended a dragon did it :smileyvery-happy:

I also had a arrow floating over my head, I was able to get rid of it by exiting the game, loading my other character then reloading the affected character.

I'm falling through the floor once a few times as well.
