I almost made a new thread on this and still might, it's so god **beast** awesome.

Shadows on the pc version **beast** ass, they are all blocky and this and that. I knew there where some issues going into the game with a pc because it is primarily a console game, just like oblivion.... but the community and mods made the pc version so much better imho.

anyway, this isn't a mod but a fix for pc users, however it doesn't fix everything but it does fix a LOT.

go into your ini and go to skyrimprefs (save a copy first). find the value fShadowDistance and set it equal to 2500, whalla most shadows are fixed. there are still some shadows that are not fixed and it has to do with cascading, which will be fixed later on (right now it is hard wired to be set at 2, the value for the consoles and their resolutions/needs)

this is also important, go into your skyrim folder and make a shortcut to TESV and put it on your desktop and run directly from that from now on. if you run it through the other it will reset the ini to whatever it was every single time.

also be sure to get the latest driver, nvidia has one specially tailored this game

Argonian Assassin. I alterate between bows and bladed weapons.

Also, in the Brotherhood of Assassins. I love the story so far.

The companions will turn you into a werewolf during their questline. I don't know if you can find werewolves in the wild and get the disease that way like vampires.

And yeah I almost always end up playing thief/assassin types. Although I am having fun with my fighter supriseingly.

I don't fast travel that much. I did in oblivion the first couple times and didn't find 90% of the stuff. I keep killing my horses though

and if I don't feel like walking to a city I'll take the carriage. But I won't download a mod to turn off fast travel, just incase I ever get lazy and do use it, which happens sometimes.

well, vannila oblivion was just drull. the mods that some people made made exploring a lot more fun and interesting.

there was a project that made every single inch of tamriel hand crafted and it was awesome, only problem was a lot of mods where not compllient, but patches for most of the better ones where introduced

i can't find Hag's End now....i'm at the EXACT location of where it is on my map and i need it to find one of the words of power BUT...it's not there....on my map it has the icon for it but in the game it's not there

That's the whole reason I got the PC version, is to mod the hell out of it when good mods come out I mean it's a good game without it but mods are why I buy these games on PC.

Enemies can't even see me as it is. I just walk up and power attack sneak crit them with my beautiful Blade of Woe and they're dead. It is....BEAUTIFUL.....now, if only I could figure out how to sneak crit a Dragon.





Also, has anyone had this happen: I was out and got randomly attacked by a dragon. I take the dragon below 50% health and the dragon just up and leaves. I don't just mean flies into the sky. I mean the dragon ran away. I couldn't keep up with the f­uck on Shadowmare. He just flew into the mountains and was never heard from again

Before I go to bed, just wanna say I beat the Dark Brotherhood's main quest.

And, what a quest it was. Far more epic than fu­cking Oblivion's Brotherhood.

I've never had a dragon run. I've had a dragon fly around above me for like 20 minutes and since my bow skill **beast** I couldn't make him come down.

Anyway I'm going to start playing kajit assassin now. Just cus I really want to do the dark brotherhood quest.

I accidently lost my level 40 assassin...I had a backup that was 10 levels ago though.

Right now im a high elf mage. Magic is reaaaalllyyy awesome. My storm atronochs (I can summon 2) absolutely rule.

I have yet to play a pure warrior...but every build seems viable. The difficulty seems to spike at certain levels no matter what you play.

I am now working on enchanting. I can take an iron dagger enchant it with a petty soul gem and it's now a 600 gold dagger.

here is a very nice mod that I think should of been included with the pc version.

basicly it sets up the 1-0 macro'es. 

this is another that enables skyrim to use more than 2gb of ram. when I installed it at first I got mostly high settings, when I installed this and redid the starting I had ultra on everything

Well relying solely on magic doesn't appeal too me too much. I'll probably end up using an assasin. I'm only like level 5 atm <_< So I haven't spent any perks cuz I can't decide exactly what I want to do.

I'm an Imperial, though I don't think that amtters too much.

You can already do that in the PC version...

it's a macro tool.

so when you are doing all your precombat buffs you can click 1 button do them all.

granted it can be exploited pretty bad but oh well, it's not like people put rubber bands on their xbox controllers to increase athletics in oblivion. if anyone wanted to cheat anyway there are some other mods that unlock everything at the begining and set everything to 100.
