what is think is that if cowboy bebop were turned into a game it would be split into three gameplay types
1- third person shooting: you go around hunting bounties and kicking ass with a varitey of weapons including spikes's iconic jerico pistol, fay's glock, and jet's walther plus the usual shotguns, assault rifles submacine guns, grenades etc.
2-flying: in some stages you get to fly the swordfish II and participate in intense space combat
3-fighting: for some boss battles you get to fight mano a mano. it would play like a faster paced version of tekken
sometimes you would have to take control of ein to reach places where no one else can go
ed has a hacking minigame kind of like the one in deus ex human revolution
treavel the galaxy in the bebop and take on side quests/bounties
upgrade everything in your arsenal including your guns, the bebop and the swordfish II with the bounty money you collect
an original story written by series creator shinchiro watanabi taking place in the middle of the series
a new soundtrack by yoko kanno
the mutiplayer
three modes with two of them having multiple variations
1:cowboy
2: flight
3:duel
cowboy is standerd third person shooting and has four modes- hunt, deathmatch+team deathmatch and bigshot bounty
hunt
it's kind of like assasin's creed's multiplayer
you and other people are spawned on a map and from there your goal is to hunt down other payers using only vauge discriptions of them
deathmatch- need i say more
team deathmatch- see above
bigshot bounty
begins like standard deathmatch until one player is tagged with a huge dollar sign from then on the other payers can either form alliances to take him down together for bigger cash bonuses or try and go solo gaining less money but more rewards upfront inculding new upgrades
flight is like hawx
some of the game modes for flight include
escort: escort the prison transport to the asteral gate. if the bad guys actually get on the transport then the defending team must get back to the transport and keep them from getting to the cells inside the ship. if the bad guys manage to get the hvt onto a ship then the defending team must do whatever it takes to stop him from reaching the gate.
dogfight: pure basic arieal combat in a varity of different arenas including: mars capital city,space station casino, earth orbit ,ect
bombing run: defend the base from the air or attack it. one player is randomly designated base commander his job is to fortify the base and alert his team about incoming enemy players
duel- play as different chartacters from the series and duke it out online or locally. it plays like a faster version of tekken
arenas include syndacate base, the old church, jupiter skyscraper, flight deck of the bebop,
your character and ship are fully customisable the money you earn in multiplayer lets you buy better guns, clothes, and equipment.
there is no leveling system and there are no classes instead you create your own class
what do you guys think goty material or not???

I've thought about this before.
If they made it, they should only focus on making an MMO with atmospheric flight, and four different types of players.
Cowboys
Syndicate
Police
Freelance
And players can get any skills they want, and each player can do whatever they want. You can get a bounty put on your head for doing illegal missions that have high risk and high reward, killing innocent npcs, doing illegal stuff in general.
And then start with a relatively small area of the solar system for testing.
Then start the game with 2 different server types.
No Holds Bar.
And
Normal.
No Holds Bar? Expect a lot of people with ships to crash into planets... but it's crazy fun.
Imagine it!
Normal?
Maybe just turn off player killing unless they have a bounty on their head, but you can do whatever to the NPCs...

Your way sounds boring, we've already seen the shows, people know the characters and their experiences inside and out.

No, this game is like the show. There is no atmospheric flight in EVE Online. In fact, this game has never been done before.
And the flying would play out like an action game.
