WTF BIOWARE!!!!!!! WHY WOULD YOU END AN EPIC SERIES LIKE THIS!!!

okay so i chose the control the reapers ending and what do i get for almost a week of playing

shepard dies and the crew is stranded on an island planet no explination and no real closure

i get that sheppard is supposed to die i accept that but why in the holy mother of god did they have to end it like that

if it had ended by giving us at least a hint of what happened to the galaxy then maby i wouldn't be complaining

throughout the year biowar has been telling us oh did u guyses kno tat all ur choices really really matter 

well guess what bioware none of my coices mattered in the end it didnt matter that liara got pregant it didn't matter that i saved tali or helped miranda they either all died or they staved to death on some planet

seriously bioware you spent three games building up this huge galaxy and for what!!!!! A FRIGGIN GIANAX ENDING!!!!!

There are a total of seventeen endings to ME3, including a special ending for beating the game again with a NG+. Two of the endings I know for a fact that Shepard lives.

There is no NG+ ending. Well, there sorta is but you get it even if you just imported from ME2(which I imagine the vast majority of people did). It's also a ridiculously minor change.

In fact all the endings are extremely similar. The whole 17 endings thing is not that big of a number considering how little of a change there are between things.

It's almost on par with saying ME2 has a dozen endings if you count the different combinations of members who survive the suicide mission.

I think it was the lack of epilogue that annoyed me, having the crew stranded on the mysterious planet was also worrying, as what would become of Tali and Garrus?

The other thing was that due to all the mass relays exploding, what would become of this galactic alliance? Surely being restricted to such confined spaces would again seed conflict between all the species I just wasted my time uniting?

Only possibility that would work would be if they managed to reverse engineer some Reaper technology to allow them to travel to other systems within a reasonable time frame. But who knows how long that would take, and in the mean time all the Turian/Quarians would probably starve off due to lack of food they can eat. That's assuming they don't all kill each other over it anyway.

I really don't understand Bioware's decision to destroy the relays. It destroys a fundamental aspect of the ME universe, and the "victory" over the Reapers is pretty hollow no matter the ending.

well here's the thing the quarians have been living in space for a long time which means that they know how to grow their own food

so i doubt that they would starve to death right away

i just assumed that the turians could eat the same things we eat

i dont want to give too much away but let's just say that tensions are very high and it would only take one spark to start a war

no it will not have a downer ending 

basically it is going to be the sum of all fears but set on the post mass effect 3 earth

They do grow some of their own food, but it's incredibly unlikely that they didn't lose any liveships in either the assault on Earth or their brief war with the Geth. Resources were already always scarce for them beforehand, and that was with supplementing their supplies by scavenging while they migrated through different systems.

Turians have to eat the same food quarians do, our food would likely kill them.

you know what everybody i've seen talking about the endings including bioware has been determined to make this not just a sad ending but an utterly hopeless dispair event horizion downer ending where in the end EVERYBODY DIES. NO MATTER WHAT I SAY AND NO MATTER WHAT I DO EVERYBODY HAS TOLD ME THAT THE UNIVERSE IS SCREWED!!! what you guys do is just keep telling me that there is no hope left for anyone... well call me an ignorant child but i think that thre can be hope left. at least in my cannon there is hope

the earth after me3 is not going to be a utopia but at least life can go on.  my crew can live in peace

however there are still people who want to see the humanity conquer everything

i will give you the basic layout of my sequel fic

After word had hit that the mass relays were destroyed the leaders of each race held an emergency meeting to determine the best course of action. They believed that it was in their best interest to share the sol system with humanity. Not all the people of the races agreed with this plan. Some had intended to suicidally try and reach the next system, others had tried to take the council on directly in what was known as the three months war. Eventually they came to an agreement, half of the races would get mars and the rest would live on earth as citizens. but tensions are still high

they are on the brink of war... and one man will do anything to see it happen.

he attacks salarian refugee camps and frames the krogans for it 

since the krogans can't confirm or deny that they were there this puts the salarian govornment on alert.

after an attack on the salarian leadership they prepare for a war that could devistate everyone

menwhile liara t'soni finds a piece of evidence that could stop it from happening and she has to team up with garrus while dodging the bad guy's henchmen

what do you think??? 

btw i know that i am dancing around the question about the quarians and the turians

My favorite part is that I had Liara with me on Earth running toward the Conduit, and she shows up in the ending with Joker in the crashed Normandy.

How does that work?

Truly ME3 = Crap.

I  mean seriously.

I mean, if you look at ME 1's dialogue, I mean, it acually makes sense, and almost EVERYTHING has back story. EVEN explination for why you can understand all the alien languages and why aliens can understand you. (in the Codex, describes a device inside your suit that aids with communications of various alien species, even then you can still hear certain aliens speak their native tongue)

Now, look at ME2, its like... OOOoooH LOOK GUYS WE ADDED THANE KRIOS!!!! AAAAND MIRANDAS BUTT!! YEEAAH! LOOVE IT!!

YEAAAH!

Now, look at Mass Effect 3.

Its like a saturday cartoon only with less context and way more guess stars..... It goes like

I had Garrus with me and he ended up on the planet too.

I also find it funny that the Renegade "destroy all synthetics" ending has EDI dying with Joker crashing on the planet smiling like a jackass.
