I literally just finished beating the game (yet again)  yesterday.    I kid you not!

I think it took the Nintendo 64 to make great Zelda games.  They haven't made one that beat either of them since then.

Well, I had just gotten done playing Swyward Sword and it left a sour taste in my mouth.   So I decided to go back and play some great Zelda games to make me feel better.  Started with OoT and then MM. 

It's nice playing them in HD from the Wii Virtual Console.  You hook an N64 up to an HDTV and you're horrified by the quality.

I know what you mean I havent got anything on the virtual console yet and the 64 games look like crap on an HDTV

Yea, and an actual timeline... Or just say some are related and others aren't.

Then you have to get them from the virtual console.  It's worth the $10 per game to get to see them in great quality, especially for Majora's Mask since that game hasn't seen a new re-release.  Though I admit playing the ocarina is a little funky if you're using a Gamecube controller, but the rest of the controls are fine (they're basically the Wind Waker control scheme).

The Wind Waker is #1 for me, choosing between all the rest for 2 to 5 is too difficult...

Im going to but I dont have a gamecube controller anymore the sticks been destroyed can you use one of the super Nintendo looking controllers for it cause I know some games you have to use the wii mote

There's a true timeline now.  It was introduced in a recent book made by Nintendo.  Look up the "Hyrule Historia".  The timeline is incredibly informative.  Hint: there is actually 3 timelines after OoT.

Aw, you broke all your Gamecube ones?  I'm proud to say I've never broken a controller out of anger.  I still have all my controllers. Granted some of them have worn out, especially the joysticks...

You can use the Classic Controller that Nintendo sells for $20.  It is the one that looks like an SNES controller.   I don't own one, so I couldn't tell you how the control scheme handles with the Zelda games.

I actually never broke it I don't know what happened but all my gamecube controllers joystick don't work but one all that's left is the actual stick its like I have my thumb on a needle the whole time

Then of course the second and first Zelda game take spot 2 and 1.

I tried one for the n64 and it was just a let down so I lost interest in the series.
