economicly.... 24" or above is great.  i got a 28 inch and its plenty big enough for me.  but if you can afford it of course the bigger the better.  it also depends on how far away from the screen you will be.  my 28" is a desktop monitor so im usually only like 3 or 4 feet away from it while playing.  if your sitting across the room you'll probably want at least 32"

you guys, hes asking for a good size that wont obliterate his wallet.  anything 40" and above is like $1000 minimum.  he could easily get something in the 30" range for almost half that price.

I have a 19 inch HD ready television and it works fine. In fact it may work a bit better than most HDTVs out there, a hard-to-find model these days. A Westinghouse HD ready TV model number LTV 19w6. It acts more like a PC monitor than a TV which is rather strange.

All I have connected to it is the Wii in 480p and an S Video DVD player (hope to upgrade to Blu Ray sometime).

I bought a 26" Samsung LCD HDTV for about $450.

Playing games is awesome on it, but like a previous poster said, it depends how far away you are from it and such. I'm generally only 4-5 feet away when playing.

Bigger HD TV = Bigger Funfetti.

50" or more.

Why question my love? It's so easy to see, without my family all I'm left with is a shadow of me.

for me when playing on large TV's is hard. I play better when playing on small tvs because with large ones you have to move your head/eyes to look at different parts of the screen. With small screens im able to see the entire screen and everything in it without moving my eyes much and without moving my head at all...

I play my games the best around 25" HDTV

When I play on the larger tv in my house I Funfetti comparitively

I got a "37 Vizio myself and that works for me, but I think the perfect balance of size and practicality would be around "42.

That way you wont have to stand too far back to see the whole screen.
