Hey fans of The Mountain Goats

Have you guys heard about this.

If so, what do you think?

As far as I care, that album was the beginning of the end for TMG for me, but I am still pretty interested in hearing this.

An Ecclectic Mix
A (Mostly) Underground Hip Hop Mix
I made these as a better way to explain to people what kind of music I like but I suppose you could use LastFM if you wanted to cheapen it.
When I make music... my mission statement is to be the Tim Kinsella of Hip Hop, the Al Burian of Singer/Songwriters, and the Dose One of punk rock!
I used to have 500 cds now i have none,
but when it comes to vinyl, my Fugazi weighs a ton...

I've only heard of two of those artists :/ and like you say Tallahassee is pretty much impossible to improve upon(I get that this is a homage, but still).

I had heard of that, and admittedly I love Tallahassee since that's what introduced me to The Mountain Goats. But I'm not too excited about this. Generally cover albums aren't that great and there aren't any artists listed that I'd be excited to get a song from. Actually Andrew Jackson Jihad is the only band there I've heard of.

I'm interested in the Jeffrey Lewis cover and the Kimya Dawson cover.

The lead singer of The Mountain Goats sort of sounds like an 80's era Wierd Al, so when I listen to their music I get kind of disappointed the lyrics are so serious.

I shot an arrow toward the sky...

As far as I am concerned The Mountain Goats will always be just one person, so it's odd to see "lead singer"

In the era of good TMG, most of his songs had a great sense of humor to them, while still being serious...

Meh, I'd rather listen to All Hail West Texas.

I'm so stoked on hearing the AJJ cover.

Nothing is more punk than being self-determined and respecting the self-determination of others.

8. See America Right - Jeffrey Lewis

I think that could be good

I haven't heard most of those artists

My favorite album is Zopilote Machine.

That's a good one...

It's all about Full Force Galesburg or Sweden for me.
