look into it hard! that album is amazing, and that was the song/video that drew me into it as well.

Hot Cross - "Exits and Trails" is what's been thru my head all of yesterday, all of today...Risk Revival, mygod, it's so good. i wish i knew more people in my area who were into skramz.

Themselves - Gold Teeth Will Roll

Last night I learned where one of the samples at the end of this song came from, so I've been listening to it a lot already today... gives it even more meaning

An Ecclectic Mix
A (Mostly) Underground Hip Hop Mix
I made these as a better way to explain to people what kind of music I like but I suppose you could use LastFM if you wanted to cheapen it.
When I make music... my mission statement is to be the Tim Kinsella of Hip Hop, the Al Burian of Singer/Songwriters, and the Dose One of punk rock!
I used to have 500 cds now i have none,
but when it comes to vinyl, my Fugazi weighs a ton...

Yeah, that's a great soundtrack. All of his are really, I do like Castle In The Sky in particular though.

Favorite song today:

Big Star - The Ballad of El Goodo

I think this has been covered/butchered by a lot of people but it's still a very uplifting and awesome tune! Listened to it walking home with the sun shining.

yesyesyesyesyesyesyes! Espers rules HARD! And one of the members, Greg Weeks, look up his solo album! Because it also rules HAAAAAAAARD!

I've had Pavement's "Perfume-V" stuck in my head all day and I couldn't be happier about the song choice.

A friend of mine sent me a short (and very crusty-sounding) mixtape yesterday which had several songs from local/regional bands.

I was listening to it in the car today, so my favorite song(s) today were from that:

Thomas Function - Filthy Flowers

&

The Group Hug - Ancient Man

Nervous Gender is awesome today.

I'm really digging "Confession" (starting at 7:44) in this video, as well as People Like You.

oh **derp** yes. how is it they can make songs that are so uplifting when so many of their songs are totally depressing?

today it was "when i'm human" from the princess and the frog. sung multiple times in the car as a duet with the 3-yr-old.
