Exodus are really annoying me. Why come back with a monster of a thrash album(tempo) only to release mediocre spiraling to abysmal groove material later? If they were consistently terrible it wouldn't be as big of an issue, look at Annihilator at least I know what to expect. But Exodus has this aura that they might do something great again only to be let down time and time again. I just heard the new re-recording of Bonded by Blood and bad doesn't even describe it.
Paul died six years ago, a tribute is rather belated. Sounds like a cash grab to me, maybe I would buy this one if they got Zetro back.

Wrong. 'Post' generally means 'outside the movement' which is why it is applied less often. Particularly used in Thrash and Black genres because they are synonymous with locations or time periods. While I find it to be ill-advised to call Meshuggah 'Post' anything it is referencing the conventional aspects of their songs, the thrash-esque riffage, especially earlier in their career.
Experimental would point to a lessened Avant-Garde approach, while Meshuggah dables with the odd time signature they rarely push experimental boundaries outside of the random intro or bridge.

Holy sh*t DT is back! And how'd you get your original SN back? Was it only temp'd or something?

It was permanently banned. I've gotten it over turned twice before in the past though. I asked if two(three?) years was long enough for such a measly infraction. I don't even think Bast remembered why she banned me.
I don't like the new set up of this site though. Although I always favored Prospero in the first place.

Haha, not to be an asshat but that is where I'm actually seeing them. At the Beat Kitchen, Chicago's best venue (imo).

I knew they were coming around soon. Right now I've got no money, my birthday was last week so I barely worked. Dam me and liking to drink so much. One day I will see them again.

I don't see why it is so hard to believe. They are meth heads and pedophiles. End of story.

My interpretation of "post" anything is that it means a movement building off of the roots of an older well established movement. Lets look at the art world. The modernist movement asked the very question of what is art in a broad sense. It introduced us to many counter-culture movements. And we are now stuck in the post-modernist era. This is an era where people are transitioning into the next cultural movement. It's like a pre-chorus in a sense. It's not quite it's own true movement but it's going in new directions. And the same can be applied to music or any art form.

See the difference? How about this for good measure:

The problem with this comparison is the difference in terminology on a broad spectrum, a lot Metal terminology is far different from its conventional use. See previous post.
But you are also using 'era' several times in your post. Which was part of my point in the first place:

1. Ghoul - Psychoplasm
2. Ghoul - Ghoul Hunter
3. Death - Zombie Ritual
4. Iron Maiden - Killers
5. Engorged - ROTLD
6. Mercyful Fate - Come to the Sabbath
7. F.K.Ü. - Stomp and Shake(Crystal Lake)
8. Voltaire - BRAINS!
9. Judas Priest - Night Crawler
10. The Black Dahlia Murder - Funeral Thirst
11. Frightmare - They Were Warned
12. Megadeth - The Skull Beneath The Skin
13. Rigor Mortis - Wizard of Gore
14. Splatterhouse - Coffin Birth
15. Opeth - The Grand Conjuration
I'll probably keep adding to it as I think of things to put on it.
Edit - Aparrently bored is changed to boring, wonderful.

For the past couple years, I have been using Sunn O)))'s 'Black One' as my soundtrack to Halloween night. It has been working pretty well in my front yard with a slow strobe and fog machine. I am thinking of doing a mix or just putting on something of Lustmord's this year. Probably 'Purifying Fire'.
Your list is seriously lacking 'Halloween II' though.
