Rappers who are better on collabs.

I enjoy Ceschi's solo work, but I really think I appreciate his effect on people more.  He owns and runs my favorite record label right now, Fake Four, and although he has some really great solo songs (Bad Jokes being my favorite) most of his stand out moments are with other people.

His verse from Sole's second Nuclear Winter mixtape absolutely kills, which I can't seem to find so instead I'll link his almost as awesome posse cut on nw vol 1...

Sole Ceschi Bleubird & Astronautalis

And his backing vocals make this song

The song he raps on on the new Bleubird is one of the best of the album - Time 4real

and my favorite song on his first album... you guessed it, guest vocals

What do you think about those?

What do you think that says about him as an artist?

What other artists do you see this in?

An Ecclectic Mix
A (Mostly) Underground Hip Hop Mix
I made these as a better way to explain to people what kind of music I like but I suppose you could use LastFM if you wanted to cheapen it.
When I make music... my mission statement is to be the Tim Kinsella of Hip Hop, the Al Burian of Singer/Songwriters, and the Dose One of punk rock!
I used to have 500 cds now i have none,
but when it comes to vinyl, my Fugazi weighs a ton...
