yea thats the only diamond I can think of that raps. you say she didnt look like she was having fun....she should have. since leavin the group her solo career has been non-existent.

The best part of the BET hip-hop awards was Rev Run's freestyle. He looked so exhausted. It was fantastic.

I just found out Eyedea died...

For those of you that are unfamiliar with him, he was a co founder of Rhymesayers along with Slug of Atmosphere (and others)....

his last album with DJ Abilities "By The Throat" was a masterpiece... and it's a sad day for hip hop

I knew of him, but I cant say I listened to him. I only seen a battle video or two before.

Is there any good new hip-hop that's come out in the last couple of months? I've found myself listening to nothing but old Parliament and Rick James albums lately because nothing in hip hop (save for a couple of the new Kanye Tracks) is really exciting right now. #helpabrotherout

i'm enjoying black milk's album of the year. if you haven't listened to freddie gibbs's str8 killa ep, do so. that's about it for me on the hip hop end. it isn't like you're just missing album releases, though. i still check certain sites regularly, and there are often wide gaps between their updates. it's just a slow period right now, and i'm left waiting on cee-lo's the lady killer.

Peace yall, BlackGeraldo....I'm new here (obviously).  Seeing conversations about Eyedea, the BET  Awards (yeh, Common did look stiff as hell) and such, this looks like a good music crowd. Plus Adult Swim fans, so I know I'm in good company.  Black Milk's album was aight, but I was expecting more...same with Bilal's Airtight's Revenge. If you dig raw **BOO**, Roc Marciano's Marcberg might be a modern underground classic.

Actually there's a project that came out today that's one of the dopest things I've ever heard in my life. It's a hip-hop Halloween opera called The Nobody Hole. It's one of the dopest projects from a new artist (Sum) I've heard in years and I HIGHLY advise you check it out if you're into progressive hip-hop, art & illustration and just all around dope **BOO**.

i still haven't acquired airtight's revenge. hard for me to have expectations for it, though. it's been damn near a decade since first born second, and i always thought that album was just ok.

is lo rhyming on the newa album? i don't know. i guess he feels like singing more these days. word is that he's actually been in the studio with the rest of the goodie recording an actual goodie album, so maybe he'll be rhyming on that one. also, cudi's album leaked.

I just found out that NPR is streaming the entire album. I haven't listened to anything yet but here's the link. I'm just on track three of 14 and so far he's Gnarls Barkley'ing it.

This is weird. 11 hours later and I can still edit posts. Anyway, am I the only person who didn't know that MC Hammer, oh, I mean, King Hammer has "beef", as the kids call it, with Jay-Z? Am I the only person who finds this funny? I am a pretty sick woman, so I may be the only one. At any rate, song, video, article, the whole shebang.
