Maybe...but you would have to have the right chord progression/ tempo/Note structure(eighth note, quarter etc)..otherwise it wouldnt fit.

leukoplast is unfamiliar with time stretch/pitch bend.

i have a question: is there any planned deadline for submission? i've got stuff ready to go, but i'm a lazy **bleep** (stamps are, like 37 cents A PIECE).

(btw, anyone who wants to listen can do so at http://www.worldphonic.com/artistpage.aspx?ai=266)

yeah, I dont know anything about that.

basically all my music skills/knowledge is from trial and error..I have no classroom experience.

and I dont think there is a deadline..unless they just stop doing it.

Well, for one my computer suks, two its a lot easier with a keyboard and program built in.

and three, I think I can actually add the software sounds though the sampling option if I wanted.

so really..its the best of both worlds.

and I havent played live yet, But I do cart my keyboard around to friends houses quite often...cant do that with software. (unless you have a laptop..and I dont)

Eh, you're more likely to be heard on the cards than in a promo... unless you've got some amazing and/or extremely weird music.

Weird would be like, Hungarian Gypsy music.

Has any music come in yet? Yes.

When do we put the music on the website? Not until they're used in a bump. Then the bump goes over to Online and they'll tack it up.

haha, hungarian gypsy music:smileyvery-happy: I dont think Ive ever heard any of that before.

so cool, the music once used gets put on quickly, awesome.

so far I have 7 made, and working on 8 now, and this is cool, even if they dont get used, at least somebody other than myself and my family gets to hear what I do.

and I know Im probably asking way too many questions, but is it possible to get feedback on the songs we have made? Or is that too much trouble?

Well, is there a space on the form with "Social Security Number:" next to it? Yes, there is. That means that yes, you need to put your SSN on there. If you refuse to, then I don't think we can even listen to your music. It's a Legal thing, I don't know why, but I have to take their word that it's important and necessary.

So far we've received about 40 CDs. Of those 40, maybe 8 were promising. And by promising, I mean they had one, perhaps two tracks we could see using.

Now, we know we're not going to get a bunch of great beats in right out of the gate. This is one of those things that takes time before we have a decent collection of viewer submissions to use on at least a semi-regular basis. But we encourage folks to send their music in regardless. Although I'm getting really tired of hearing tracks that just sound like some kid looped a few samples on his Casio - music doesn't just reflect a person's personality, it also reflects the amount of effort you put into it. Just an FYI.

So an 8 piece jazz hip hop band would be acceptable then?

I've been using the basic 'sound recorder' program, and micing up my amp, and doing 60 second instrumental blues, rock, and jazz stuff...

Got any of those yet? I'm tryin' to be original, and still play somthing decent...

MY best friend has a drum machine prog, and a recording prog, so his stuff is more 'industrial'.

I still like MY tone better (somewhere between Early Billy Gibbons, Robert Cray and Jimmy Vaughn)... :smileywink: using the 'wav' prog also gives it that 'analog' feel when you play it back...

Just a thought. Are you looking for a specific type of music or something that just rocks-teh-sox? I have written a bunch of guitar music bass and guitar. Would that be something worth while or are you looking for more electronic styles?
