Anyone else...

Get lost from time to time with all the big words and super speed speech? I feel like I can watch an episode four or five times and still have no idea what they said in the entire thirty minutes. When Major met the laughing man, I had to rewind the conversation in the library too many times to count.

Trust me, I don't think anyone fully understood what was going on with the main story the first time around, particularly during the first season. There are still parts of the Laughing Man incident I have to rethink every single time I rewatch the show. :smileytongue:

I think it happens to a certain extent, but it isn't anything to be worried about. There are

still little things that I catch even now, and I've seen both series several times. There is

a real depth to the writing, and it shows in the audience having to think actively in order to

follow the storyline.

Oh man, it's not my first time with the show. 2nd gig is a little better about it, and the movie is very straight forward. The Laughing Man, and pretty much everything in Stand alone complex is extremely indepth and has one of the most advanced vocabulary of any show on [as] or cable for that matter. It seems like there are certain points in the show where voices are quieter than others because they are out of view, this really throws me for a loop because I can hear Major or whomever is in view, but can't hear the other side of the conversation. This might be because of my t.v, have you noticed this?

I know certain TV providers seem to have issues with CN/[as]'s stereo sound mix; when I was in college, I sometimes noticed certain shows with that sort of goofy audio. It shouldn't be like that on the Video streams, though, and it definitely isn't on the DVDs. Those have the luxury of being able to turn on the subtitles, too, so you can try to catch certain lines that may be a bit indistinct in the dub.

I know I do. Imagine being up at 2 or 2:30 in the morning trying to stay awake and keep up with what they're saying. The show could use a little less talk and a little more action. It's almost aggravating sometimes, but it's still worth the watch.
