Dude, you should definetly go. I wish I'd have a chance to go to those things but they're always far away from home.

Yeah I plan on attending the next Sakura Con...it looks really fun, but I can't decide who to dress up as. I thought Batou but I don't think I can buff up in time lol.

Also, Batou seems like a great Drinking buddy, like the kinda guy who would be a kick to go bar hopping with lol

I've always received the impression that by moving more and more beyond normal human bodies (i.e., the prosthetics, the brain linked into the net, etc.), Motoko is sort of moving beyond the conventional "human" boundaries. There are instances of her involvement with both men and women (in the manga, as you said), but she also basically adds other minds into hers to become a new being. By then, it's basically a moot point.
