Ghost in the Shell

It's kinda like Ghost in the Shell in FPS form. It's even complete with a reference (there's an assualt rifle and one sniper rifle called Kusanagi). The game's pretty cool, too...

Kusanagi means "Grass Cutter" in Japanese, and is the name of a sword that belongs to a set of relics known as the Japanese Imperial Regalia, along with the Jewel and the Mirror. It's currently found in a museum in Japan that houses royal artifacts.

I wouldn't really consider it to be a reference to this series now that you know this little tidbit.

 I would. If you play the demo you'll see it's cyberpunk and a reference to GitS makes perfect sense...
