I mean do you think that the GiTS universe and setting could someday be a reality? with AIs and advanced robots and stuff? could there really be people like motoko someday? With technologically advancing at such a rapid pace, who knows maybe in 20-30 yrs it could become a possiblity. well not like itll be overrun by AIs and robots and stuff, but maybe theyll finally figure something out? or maybe they already have who knows.

If given the chance would you want to exchange your human body for a body like motokos? well maybe not exactly like hers but ya know, all robotic and stuff? I dont know if id want to, course the idea of not growing old, having a great body, and stuff does seem tempting.

It would probably be cool to have a body like that but science its all connected to computers and internet in some way, I don't want to risk it especially since somebody could hack into my brain or something.   But I could see it happening, all that futuristic stuff. I doubt it will happen in our life time. I mean, back in the day they thought in the 2000s we would be living like the Jetsons but look at us (bad example I know).

i don't see the level of the major's body happening anytime soon. there have been advancements in prosthetics that allow the amputee control a robotic arm and allow it to clasp things but it is unwieldy. if the technology was around, i'm not sure i'd want it. maybe be like togusa and have a few implants and not the whole sheebang.

I seen articals in National Geographic on both artifical intellingce, and atrifal limbs connected to the brain. o.o

AI seems lot closer, becuz artifial limbs are too expesive and I doubt many people could legally test putting a brain in an artifiacal body.

Because of Ghost in the Shell, scientists in Japan have begun developing (with actual results) a Thermoptic Camoflauge cloak that bends light around you, and a real life Tachikoma (which is too small for your average American to fit inside.)

 Scientists have been able to successfully wire artificial limbs to the body's nerves with a fair degree of success towards moving the arm just by brain impulse for a few years now.

That's why they have attack barriers. Go somewhere you aren't supposed to go, and you get fried.

As for having a prosthetic body, it might be sweet for a while, but I think people would get tired of being ageless and almost immortal. After a while, I'd expect suicide rates among the "elderly" to skyrocket.

It's certainly not going to happen by 2030. Maybe in a few hundred years. If the world is still around by then.

Well,maybe not my ENTIRE body, but definitely some parts of me could use a robotic upgrade. I wouldn't mind haveing cyberized legs. maybe brand new eyes so I wouldnt needed glasses...
