Can anybody tell me if there's a sequel to the major's assassination on the way to the plane since the storyline aren't in standalone episode order???  Her head was completely shot off as I recalled?? Also, what was the words she muttered to Boto before being assassinated????  Thanks!!!!

The "sequel," so to speak, occurs in the final episode of the first season, which comes right after the episode you're describing, episode 25.

Her head was shot but her brain surtvived, right? That'sthe only way I can think of for her to still be alive in the next ep.

It was never her in the first place. She wasn't wearing her watch, and was remote controlling one of her extra bodies without even letting Batou know.

Probably explains why he called her a **grok** and said he didn;t care a bit what happened to her when he found out. I wonder what she did to get back on his good side again after that...

i member batou kept asking her at the end why she wore that bracelet. So is the purpose to show who the real major is vs her bots??

The watch is a detail only found in the anime actually. She explains that it's a memento of when she received her final prosthetic body swap into a full adult body. It's her keepsake that she hangs onto as a reminder that even though her body is completely artificial, it reminds her that she's still human underneath it all. It was a bit of a foreshadowing when they were talking about it, because you knew if she wasn't wearing it, then it wasn't actually her.

Which raises the question- when dd she do the swap? Was it rght after she slept wth Batou and she snuck out of the bed and put the robot there? Or maybe just before they were about to get on the plane she excused hersef for something and swapped it then?

yeh it had to be between their last night together in her safe house and the actual scene.

i nebver understood how they got the helicopter to pick them up in all, like who was actually picking them up, and couldn't they have shot that down too hehe?

But i bet hardly anyone ever noticed the watch before. I do wonder though if a a person who could read lips (in japanese) saw she said something like "this is my fake body" or something like that.

She was trying to say something, but what it was is NEVER revealed. Not in Japanese or the dub. Besides, you can't really read lips in anime. As realistic as you try to make it look when you draw a character saying something, the fact that it's animated makes it impossible to do.
