What are these two soundtracks?

The first is a great action track that often plays when Section 9 leaps into action. I recorded a bit of it here: http://www.box.net/shared/3b7lndn58d1dt9vr5buo

The second one is this weird, dissonant track with strings. This is it: http://www.box.net/shared/dc13mxtk8u5xqmlnn5xx

Does anyone know which soundtrack CD these are on, if any, and what their names are? THX!

Hmm, these are a nice puzzle. I'm fairly sure I've heard at least that first track as a stand-alone song. Let me poke through the OSTs and see if I can track them down. :smileyhappy:

Edit: Well this sucks...I skipped through every single album I have, but I wasn't able to find either track listed on them. I definitely recognize that first track, since I know it's used multiple times during the series, and I thought I'd heard it on its own. Maybe someone else will have better luck.

Both of them are found on Smooth In The Shell, a literal 49 minute continuous play song file that flows all of the remaining songs that didn't make it into the earlier OSTs (Including a rap song that didn't even make it into the SERIES) from one to the next.

Because of this, as far as I've been able to tell, the actual songs themselves are not named, simply because they're all part of one big song.

Ah, that explains things. I do have that Smooth in the Shell album, along with a "repacked" version of it that (supposedly) separates it into distinct tracks, but I wasn't able to find those two among the latter. I wonder if they were just in parts of the longer album that whoever did the chopping didn't separate out.

Truth be told, there are still a few songs that still never made it to a soundtrack.

Cool I'll get that album then. Any idea where they are in those 49 minutes? :smileytongue:

For the record, Smooth In The Shell wasn't released in the US.
