No, it's about a guy from Detroit being given tasks from God while the Devil tries to thwart him.

I didn't even know this show existed until it was posted on the schedule.

From what I've read it got low ratings due to local stations pre-empting it due to complaints from religious groups, though it got played in its entirety overseas.

     Sure, its really not very offensive,  if you're a regular Job* like you & I.  (*pronounced: "jo-be"; eg: the poor schmoe in the Bible who's a lot like Bob from the show.)

     But if you're an ultra-religious Bible-thumping type, with no sense of humor.  The sort who sees the latest chewing-gum ad as an attack on their faith.  Then GDB is a Crusade on The Holy Land.  Of course they threw a tantrum & boycotted the show.
